Fresh Installed on Win7 some Problems with joystick

Posted by: Flyboy
on: Yesterday at 03:04 PM

Hi skeemo, well I don't know about your problem, but I've encountered some control issues too, but for me it's the keyboard. I have a new laptop and Windows 7 installed, and some keys don't work at all, while others do the opposite of hat they're supposed to (like the yaw keys)! I must admit though, I'm not playing LB2 at the moment so it doesn't really matter... yet!

You could try going into the CA.INI file and increasing the joystick number entries that look like this...

[Joystick]
XMin=-128,XMax=127,
XDead=1000
XSat=9000,
;
YMin=-128,
YMax=127,
YDead=1000
YSat=9000,

...

Longbow 2 Windows Vista/7 Fix available for download!

Posted by: Flyboy
on: 11/19/09 06:02 AM

Well I'm very happy to hear that it works for you Phoenix. It' no big secret how I did it. I just installed the sim on to my old WinXP system (hell, we are moving fast if I can call XP 'old'), patched it, fixed it and then just put it in the installer. No magic, just old fashioned common sense (and a lot of input from guys on here in the past!)

Janes titles windows 7 comodo firewall issues

Posted by: Phoenix
on: 11/02/09 07:17 PM

That's interesting...I've had intermittent problems with both JF-18 and LB2. Sometimes they want to work, othertimes nothing. Do you find that the sims work fine with the Defense+ engine disabled? That's the only thing I know of in COMODO that might be causing issues. The past few COMODO builds have had a lot of bugs and problems, so I'll test the sims with it disabled to see how they work out. It's a great firewall though, I'd hate to have to ditch it. Interesting find!

Is there a guide for the ISO Daemons process

Posted by: Recluse
on: 10/10/09 05:08 PM

You are missing one step. You need software that will mount a virtual CD. The one most of us use is Daemon Tools (as would be suggested by your subject)

http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/downloads

You can call the ISO anything you want. You don't necessarily need to install from the .iso either.
Daemon Tools has a 'MOUNT' command which lets you browse for an image to create a virtual drive from.

Works great. I've used it for any number of games. The Lite Version of Daemon Tools (I assume this one is still free) allows you to mount 4 drives simultaneously, but generally I unmount the one I don't need and mount the one I want to use.
