Was raised on Marmite since i lived in UK for about 12 years. (Dad was USAF) good stuff in moderation. Went to Australia for Kangaroo '95 (US Army joint exercise) and had some Vegemite out of their version of MREs. Aussie version was nasty as hell IMHO. Not sure what the real difference is or perhaps the time i had Vegemite it had been a long time since i had Marmite so wasn't used to it.

They have Marmite now at Publix here in Florida so i buy it occasionally.

I saw some of that stuff one time in a tube ....much like a tube of toothpaste but probably tasted worse than toothpaste

The stuff in a tube is horrible, from a jar Marmite is delicious.

Well, I tasted it according to the rule of much-butter- little-Marmite and it was okay. Maybe it was too little Marmite and I'll have to find the right balance, but it tasted like salty toast so I think that was probably about right. Nothing earth-shattering, though, but not bad. smile

The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.
