Well TBH I was asking for it.

There's less and less reason to go there anyway these days.
There are rarely any interesting topics because nobody can say anything negative.

It's not like the mods are instantly locking them now but the drones that hover around, waiting to post their usual positive spin just make the place really sterile and insipid.

The developers don't seem to know what they've made or how to engage with their fans, even some of their testers and moderators seem to be losing faith.

I knew things weren't right when they suddenly culled the testing team a year or so ago.
At that moment I realised the development team were out of control.

I'm not surprised they've since continued on the downward spiral that's lost them so much credibility now.

It's a shame because the IL2 name deserves so much better.

I'm just glad I didn't pay for my copy of the game because I'd feel totally ripped off.
Maybe there will be some actual gameplay to follow but right now the game is less inspiring than their forum.

Hey-ho. Maybe in six months, maybe next sim ...

GL HF.

I believe we get to hear about their new 'product' sometime this week, amazingly with just 2 days left to go they still can't make a firm indication when.....my money is on Friday.

Well one thing I found interesting, is ROF sure got a lot of love of late...

Not saying that means anything, it was overdue with most of the focus being on BOS the last year and a half or so.
But interesting none the less.

Well perhaps, but look at your reputation ( points) and how much you have contributed to the BOS community in the past.
But the faithful, can say any dang thing they want without any worries. ( Sharpe totally trashing and name calling all of Sim HQ and it's participants for example).

Maybe they get some free powerups for it.

"Troll Hole" was a nickname we gave a certain larger than normal female that was....not very hard to "interact" with....especially if both parties had a few adult beverages....that associates of mine regretted the next day of doing so when their head was much more clear. People that would indulge in said "Troll Hole" person was known to have "walked across the bridge of the troll and paid the toll". It was not a good thing.

Back on topic.

Insulting a whole sim forum, that has been around a lot longer than BoS, for being able to speak freely is not only funny, but hypocritical. Some members that support BoS very much seem to enjoy being able to flex their posting abilities without fear of locking/deleting/editing here, and have shown it the past few days. Interesting.

Of course another locked thread by a person giving feedback is all too common. Business as usual. They are also trying to give someone a refund if they promise not to post about BoS anymore (because they posted flaws).

The men in charge think that I gained my reputation (points) by bad-mouthing BoS and getting my gang of cronies to like my posts.

Seriously, they are that out of touch.

I reckon at least twice as many people have downloaded and played my (not forgetting the other contributors) Battle over Britain campaign for IL2 FB over the years than have bought IL2 BoS in total.

But I'm just a geriatric psychiatric hater so what would I know? smile

Did Sharpe get banned for the vitriol filled post?
I'm surprised he posts so much here if he loathes the place so much, and everyone here.

What's the next product? Give us $95 dollars and no unlocks, promise....

I don't know what you guys are on about, its perfectly acceptable to lock a post after the fans have had their seal clubbing session despite knowing it was going to end badly and of course the moderator is not drawing unnecessary attention to the posters motives (presumably using the same mind reading skills he has learnt from posters here who he has accused of doing likewise), he only draws attention to it three timers in that thread to help posters make their own minds up as to what the OP's motives could be. Perfectly fine, nothing to see there at all, its quite clear Extreme One was graciously given a holiday from the forum so he could spend more time enjoying the riveting campaign, bustling online experience and award winning unlocks. You guys are just soo critical sometimes, sheesh!

At first I thought SharpeXB was about 16 years old based on his posting style. Then I started guessing about 22 years old. Then I accidentally stumbled onto this, and backed it up with a little Google Fu:

Apparently SharpeXB is a 48 year old architect who, considering there seems to be precious few young players raving about BoS anywhere, started posting "Shoot, shoot, boom, boom, whee!" comments to try to help get the twitch players interested in BoS. And at 48 years old the young'uns are going to consider him part of the geriatric crowd he seems to have so much disdain for hahaha

I'm guessing he didn't fool anyone in the end. Kids can spot this stuff. "Look, I'm having fun...shoot, shoot, boom, boom, whee!" Yeah, right, dude bs_sign band

I really hope that Sharpe was not comparing SimHQ to the first definition of troll hole that Google presents....he cannot be that crude, can he?

I think he surely must have been referring to this, right?

Well, I guess we could cut him some slack....he is from Dallas. smile

C'mon lokitexas, you know that Dallas is so far North that anyone from there is pretty much a Yankee. smile

(Psst....rumors that I am a transplant from NY should be ignored, OK?)
