Q: What is DCS World?
A: DCS World is an application that combines multiple independently-purchased modules into one interface. Create missions, launch campaigns, or join multiplayer sessions in any of the DCS platforms (A-10C, Ka-50, P-51D, Su-25T, and ground vehicles) without closing and restarting separate standalone applications.http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3590073/What_is_DCS.html
DCS World is free to download and comes with the Su-25T module for free.http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/world/
Download DCS World here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/in...uct&lang=enQ: What are "modules"?
A: Instead of standalone applications, DCS World integrates each separate game as a module. Each module contains the interfaces, graphics, scripts, and all other unique files required to play that vehicle in the DCS World. Modules are free to download, but require an activated serial number to install and play.

Donít forget to purchase a serial number for your module here:http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=1322&scr=shop&lang=en
SimHQ registered members can download the latest modules here (requires forum login):http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3612242/DCS_Patches_and_Updates.htmlQ: What is the difference between the DCS product I owned and the DCS World version?
A: Modules are mostly just like the standalone versions, but the specific changes between each version are listed in the changelogsQ: If I already purchased a DCS standalone product, do I have to purchase the DCS World version to play it in DCS World?
A: No*, download the module version of your product and install it after downloading and installing DCS World. (*Owners of DCS Black Shark 1 will need to purchase an upgrade to DCS Black Shark 2 to be able to use their serial number in DCS World.)Q: I installed my module, then I installed DCS World, but Iím not able to play the vehicle and the associated icon in DCS World shows a dollar sign. What happened?
A: The modules must be installed after DCS World is installed. Now that DCS World is installed, reinstall your module.Q: Do I need to re-activate my DCS standalone product to play it in DCS World?
A: No. Serial numbers for DCS standalone products transfer to the DCS World module version of that product. Install the appropriate module and DCS World will use the currently activated serial number for that product.Q: I installed my module, now how do I play it?
A: Start any Instant Action, Quick Play, Single Player Mission, Single Player Campaign, or Multiplayer Mission that includes player or client slots for your product (e.g., A-10C, Ka-50, P-51D, etc.). For further information about a specific module, check the manual that came with it.Q: I paid for a module, but all I got was a webpage with a serial number. Where is my download?
A: Once you've purchased a serial number, copy down the number somewhere safe, then download your module from the Downloads section.Q: Do I have to pay for a module after I've already purchased a serial number?
A: No. All modules are free to download and install, but will only work after a valid serial number has been entered and activated. Download modules from here and purchase serial numbers from here. Be sure to use the same login credentials for each serial number purchase that you make.Q: Can I have older versions of a DCS module installed along with DCS World versions of the same game?
A: Absolutely. Older standalone versions wonít interfere with DCS World modules, but you will have to manage the options configurations separately. Changing controls or video settings in one application wonít affect the settings in the other.Q: Where is the SimHQ DCS World server?
A: At this time, SimHQ is not able to provide a dedicated DCS World server due to limitations of the DCS World server software. Once a remote dedicated DCS server is available, expect to see a server running around the clock.
In the meantime, check the DCS World forums to see if the community has announced any multiplayer sessions, or log on to the SimHQ Teamspeak 3 server to see if folks are currently online and playing.
Access information for the SimHQ Teamspeak 3 server is here (forum login required):http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3137414.htmlQ: Will missions made using a DCS standalone product work with DCS World?
A: For the most part, yes, although there are some notable exceptions. Open your mission file in the DCS World Mission Editor and test it before game day!Q. What articles has SimHQ published on DCS World and Eagle Dynamics products?
