I faintly remember seeing on these boards an original document that gave pilots advice on deflection shooting etc. Is it still available and is it useful during gameplay.
Any help greatly appreciated....TIM

By "original" do you mean a period document? I believe that
was one of the training booklets that Snip/Von Schnitter had
on his website, airfronts.org .

That website disappeared without warning sometime in 2010.
Had warning been given, a lot of material there would have
been archived by lots of folks, but as it is, most of it
disappeared unsalvaged. However, I do think I picked up
a copy of the deflection shooting pamphlet...
Yes, here it is: http://www3.telus.net/v1ncent/bob/bagthehun.zip

Note also, that BoB2 includes an amazing little widget that
Buddye cooked up to help his grandkids learn to do deflection
shooting. It isn't highlighted in the manual, but you can find
a little write-up in the appendix on bdg.txt variables; it is
activated with this switch in bdg.txt

Novice_Gunnery_Predictor=OFF # NOTE Must padlock target to see predictor, switch to view F8 to practice
