I think this will soon be a problem to attract new players, because I don't think so many people originally bought CFS3 due to bad comments at the time and the coexistence with IL2 (and many of the ones who did probably threw it away since then...). I don't know how long we will find DVDs so may be the community will have to share !

There's also the CD version available. I've heard that some people use an unofficial fix to remove the need of the CD in the player, everytime they start playing.

A couple of years ago it was even more hard to find the DVD version. It's cyclic. I remember I've dispatched a few copies to some OFFers with the DVD Portuguese cover, because we couldn't find anywhere else.

Besides, there's nothing OBD can do in this matter. Ubisoft will not create more new CFS3 DVD versions. These are rest of stocks or second handed.

The only problem ( if there is one) is the availability of the DVD, and the benefits it provided. It seems to be limited to stocks on hand. When it's gone, it's gone

There's plenty of CD sets, and if the demand ever exceeds the supply. I'm sure Micky$oft will print more

That was actually HOW the DVD came to be. CFS3 at release was a total Dog, the production run ceased shortly thereafter

However there's MAW, PTO, Korean Skies, OFF, all using CFS3 in one form or another, and Micky$soft was caught with it's knickers down

So it authorized Ubisoft to offer a Limited Run of DVD's

Till they could mobilize their efforts to print more CD sets

THOSE DVD'S ARE MOST DESIRED TODAY

Just to answer re us selling the CDs it's been asked or mentioned several times. We aren't a vendor, and as our very smalll team are fully consumed time wise on development we have no time to be a vendor or retailer.

Hence why we use Avangate currently to distributed our DVDs and downloads.

We have enough to cope with making WOFF basically. CFS3 is easily obtained on Amazon Ebay and many other places, only the new DVD version is rare.
