It really doesn't matter who (Discus or anyone else) tries to release Fall Blau, Graviteam holds the keys to that game and unless there is a major breakthough it's just not going to happen. And if for some reason it could happen now in 2012, I really don't think that now it will be the sim some have speculated it would be. I have talked with Vlad at length about Fall Blau and please understand guys the improvements of Fall Blau over SFK42 would have been mostly marginal although some areas were improved upon (like the AI). Plus as far as what I took away from these conversations is Vlad feels SFK42 and Fall Blau is in the past, not that he is in anyway ungrateful for the fans that SFK42 has brought to Graviteam, but he and his team are commited to advancing Graviteam forward with new and better products. That being said would Fall Blau being released back in 2009 been great? Sure to the power of x10, but now in 2012? Fall Blau would look rather pale compared to SFK42 now and whats coming down the pike.
Here's my take on it guys, even though SFK42 does have it's shortcomings, Graviteam did supply a very good, mostly open sim from the start. If anyone would have told me back in late 2008 when I got my copy that SFK42 would have all that it has today (for free) I would have thought they were living in a dream world. Graviteam did include many essential editors to basically add whatever the player wished (new maps, missions and vehicles etc) provided you could put all the "how too" pieces together to do it

. Sure there are areas of the sim hardcoded many would love to get into and mod (like the AI for one) but despite this the glass is definately 1/2 full, not empty. Lets look at another armored sim released at the same time, Tiger vs T-34. Imagine if SFK42 would have been locked down more like TvsT? You can bet SFK42 would not have the fan base (or content) it enjoys now.
