But I would be absolutely thrilled to death if they would make:
Hidden and Dangerous 3
Vietcong (version 2)
And they absolutely must be made by the same teams of the original which is 2K Czech I believe. I repeat, it must have the same hands making these games not just the same developer company with noobies at the wheel. Otherwise don't waste your life's enery and our time.
They were able to do something with these games that few are able to do. I love detail. I can't put my finger on any one specific reason as to why or how they got this figured out, but everything from the tactical abilities, sound affects (rustling equiptment, clothing, birds, rain), musical score, good british voice acting/voice overs, !!mission briefings/debriefings!! (games have gotten lazy in this department), diverse mission lacales and objectives, doing alot in environment and object details(looks of buildings, windows, radios sitting on tables, posters on walls)....... I don't know what else to say. They just did a whole lot right with what game engine they had to use at the time. They still hold up today. And I'm sure there were games that were technically more graphically powerfull and pushing the envelope at the time but they seemed to be able to do make the most and best out of what they had and it far exceeds to this day as a whole what most games are capable of pulling off.
I would love to see H&D3 as well as a Vietcong V2. I completed that one only dabbled in the Purple Haze and Fist Alpha. But that game too to me was like Hidden and Dangerous Vietnam style. Same thing there, detail, music, missions. And it must be a spiritual successor to the first Vietcong, not the sequel that totally strayed. I have great memories of moving with my team over logs in the wet jungle with our funny but loyal vietnamese scout "Nut" leading the way.
Sorry for the ramblings but that's where my mind is now.
