My Saitek X52 Pro is no longer responding.

The throttle section works fine. The joystick is not responding, in-sim or in the Windows control panel. The buttons on the stick itself are lit, as is the power button, but the three toggle switch LEDs aren't lit as they usually are. Checked all cables, plugged into a different port, etc. Looks like some kind of hardware failure.

Has anyone seen an issue like this? Just curious as to whether there's any kind of repair option. (Or if anyone has a dead X52 Pro throttle that they want to sell a working stick from. : )

Otherwise, it's time to get a new stick. Given that Saitek/MadCatz has no repair options for an out-of-warranty $170 device, I'm not exactly leaning towards replacing it with another Saitek, even though I like the controller. I'm thinking I'll continue to use the throttle from the X52 and pick up a CH Fighterstick or CombatStick. Used to really like those controllers back in the 20th Century...

The only problem with CH sticks is that they do not have a twisty rudder. If you have pedals this is a non-issue for you.

In X-52 the "brain" (USB Controller) is inside throttle, stick is "brainless", a common problemn is the PS2 cable between booth, with internal broken wires. Try replace this.

Thanks, Sokol1. Is that some kind of standard cable? (PS2 keyboard type?)

MasterTec, I have pedals, no problem there. And it looks like I could even keep using half of the X52 for the Throttle stuff without issue.

I've seen replacing the PS/2 Cabel work a few times, but most of the time its elsewhere, when i get time im gonna tear mine apart. prolly a bad resistor or something, I'll prolly solder the PS2 Wires onto the boards as i think the connectors are CHEAP.

Hello Denny. Please do you still have throttle from Saitek X52 pro? I have serious interest, thanks for answer. Regards. Rasto, Slovakia
