Hey everyone, I use the Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS and my throttle is getting REALLY loose, it's starting to get annoying. I was wondering if there is any way to tighten up something or anything else I can do to make it a little harder to push the throttle up, and make it so it will stay where I leave it? Right now if I try to leave the throttle at about 75% it is so loose it will just fall to 100% throttle on it's own. I also want to try and change the AB Detent so it's not sitting a little past half way. Thanks

I've done the mods you speak of myself and they work great

I've got the same problem. Went to the Cougar World site and found a mod about adjusting position of the throttle detents, but nothing on how to tighten up the throttle's movement. Even when I have the friction wheel fully tightened, the throttle won't stay in position.

Things that could help:

- Tightening the inner 4 screws on the bottom. They pull the two halves around the plastic rings tight.
- Add a piece of tape or paper between the brake-pad arm hinge and base. This brings the brake pad closer to the throttle axle.
- Add a disc or washer between the adjustment wheel and the brake arm. Same effect as above.
- Get a new brake/friction pad from TM.
