Hey everybody! I’m new to this forum and I thought this would be a great place to post and get some feedback from fellow aviators. I have been interested in a new flight simulator by Hotseat Chassis Inc.
I’m looking for an affordable sim yet I need something that would be great for training and brushing up on my skills. I saw this one unit they have that I fell in love with. It’s a Flight sim with 3D capabilities and has multiple screens. It has everything I need to plug it in and start training. They supply the screens, PC, controls, software and have a great set up so I don’t have to sit at my desktop setup. It’s very immersive. They were at I/ITSEC this year with the unit. Did anybody else go to be there to check it out? I tried it and I’m very excited yep . Anybody else try one of these units before? If so what do you think? If you haven’t heard about them, please check them out and let me know what you think. www.hotseatsim.com Any feedback or advice would be appreciated. Thanks everybody!

Unless you need something FAA approved, for the amount of money their asking you can do a lot better.

Agree with the previous posts. Way overpriced for the home user (unless you just have money to burn). You could build something yourself that's close to that at a fraction of the cost.

Thanks guys. It just cool that you can get everything you need in one stop. So what do you guys do? Build your own?

I bought the base model Playseat and modified it to fit the cockpit I was building. Originally I got the Playseat to use with racing sims, but for space reasons, I had to pick racing or flying. Flying and cockpit building won!

I have seen some guys using PVC piping to build their pits and with that you could make something that was very close to the hotseatsim. Bottom line is if you're willing to invest the time to building your own, you can save some cash. Now if you win the lottery, go for it! smile
