Hi all,
Returing to AF after some time, i've configured a dedicated rig for serving, to host campaign with some friends.

Have forwarded 2934/5 udp/tcp to this rig, on router. Have checked this with The port check tool, and its working fine. Firewall is off. But other user cannot connect. Gets past initial connection window, but i cant see him in chat. In campaign screen he sees my game, but get server connection error when he tries to connect to it. I can connect to it using the internal IP with no problems.

The server
IP: 79.97.28.47, no password, campaign is Korea. Server is running
I have set the server up and down speeds to 1024/1024, which is within the range of my bandwidth.

Would be great if someone could try to connect for me, and let me know the result. Server is not active at present!

Game is AF 1.013

Cheers.

beercheers

Is the dedicated rig on the same connection e.g. router, as the PC you are flying/ connecting with?

If so, flying via LAN and Internet isn't capable in F4AF without some major tweaking with your internet settings.

Thanks for the thought,
Server is setup as 'internet' server. I'm connecting internally using the IP to find it. Only difference is, internal client does not have to worry about port settings, or fire wall on the router, cause its inside.

Server is setup as I would do it for an external connection. 'Internet', and open ports to that server ip (internal) to allow external traffic to access the server.

I have tried the external client connecting, with and without the internal client connected. Same result.

Is the server still up? I just tried logging onto it and it timed out.
