General report:

I was on board as a observer on the raid. Spotted a gang of Tommy a/c climbing and firing at the Helll s of the Kamp 1 group. No sign of our Escort. III Staffel got hit spotted 2 going down. Then it was our turn. the Huricanes just sat behind us firing all their ammo. ( 4?) Leek 3 caught fire and slanted down then exploded. As the flight started the bomb run spotted another 2 fighters coming in guns blasting in a high side attack Leek 1 went down the wing coming off. Bombs Away the Staffel
scored hits on the buildings. Turning for home another Tommy day fighter came in on us. 2 Bursts missed then hits in the tail. The Tommy turned away and some rear gunner got his motor. He was trailing brown smoke as he dove away. I heard some one yell to the Staffel Leader Home James.
