Hey there. Does anyone know a good source for military/aviation related figurines/statuettes? They could be made out of diecast or rosin or plastic. If they make scaled figurines as well that would be great. I'm thinking of adding to my small diecast aircraft collection and would love some little pilot models to stand along side them. I'm interested in setting up my own dioramas for display. Thanks for any tips. I tried searching but couldn't come up with much. I'm hoping there's a magic site full of this stuff.

Hey Coot, there are some cool military guys here
http://www.wartoyz.com/

This one looks cool,

I have a F-18 pilot at home but not sure who makes it, I'll check tonight. Has a lot of detail and comes with a stand.

Awesome Top Gun thanks. I'll take a look at that.

If you want to assemble and paint them yourself, check out Verlinden Productions.

Hey Legend, do those kits come with some sort of painting code to tell you what color to use where? I'd rather not have to paint but that site has some nice looking fighter pilots.

No, they're very basic. It's all light-green or yellowish resin, that has to be assembled - but this being resin, there's quite some cleanup and filling included. If you don't have experience with that it may be difficult - and could be very frustrating (OR very rewarding). The picture on the box and books or websites should serve as a painting guide.

Unless it changed lately (it's been a while since I did this myself) even the assembly instructions are very minimal - you have to know what is what and where it goes - or again use other reference material.

Thanks for the link but that may be too much work and lack of model painting experience than I have time for. I'm interested in this diorama: skyhawk diorama

Can the figures that come with this be found sold separately? I'm looking for little figures about this size to place with diecast aircraft models. Military Issue magazine has some outstanding military figurines but the mag doesn't say who makes them so I can't see what other figures they might offer.
