Hi Guys,

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a new facility for letting the developers know about bugs / issues you are having with EECH (not EE2, unfortunately - that's commercial still).

This system has gone live today and you can find it at:

EECH Bug Tracker

Arne already has an account there (as do I, more about that later) so you will still reach the same bunch as posting here.

A manual of sorts for the system can be found on the original developers' site:

MantisBT Manual

The system is fairly straight forward. There is an anonymous posting option for quick reports and also a registration system so users can sign up, post bugs and track their progress.

I'm hoping that the next 12 months are going to see even more amazing things like those that Arne and the gang have already brought to EECH - so managing some of that change will get more complicated as time goes by - hence this system.

Reporting a bug is pretty straight forward - you need to provide:

  • Category (bug type - eg AI, Graphics)
  • Summary (Overview of your issue)
  • Description (As much detail as you can manage)

Extra information is always helpful and there is space also for:

  • Platform (use the Select Profile dropdown for quick options)
  • Product Version (only 1.12, 1.12.1 and 1.12.2 are listed as upgrading should probably be tried before posting bug reports)
  • Steps To Reproduce
  • Additional Information
  • Upload File (screenshot if you have, or crash logs if they will help, etc)

Let's see if we can't give Arne and the other developers an easier time with all their future updates and bug fixing thumbsup

(Quick intro - I've been lurking here for years and years, as with the developers list and I've finally got time to do something about my favourite helo sim - so this is item number one - I'm a developer too, so unless I get run over there'll be a bunch more to come)

I like bug fixing - so we're all in luck there with EECH wink

There's currently no feature request menu option, but I'll be looking at that when I'm not earning money today! The underlying system knows about feature requests, but I need to adjust the menu so that normal people can get there without being overwhelmed with options.

If people have feature requests - add them as issues for now and they'll be moved to the right places.

Tried it. Nice and clear. I have a problem with the interface though. Running HD res and some desktop theme. All editable fields have tiny tiny font so I can't read what I write till the confirmation. It's hard to explain but it's like the google before they changed the font. I guess current fonts are not scaling properly.

* I see the right MFD issue is 'solved'. What does it means. That it will be fixed with the release of the new version? Because it's still in 1.12.3.

That it has been fixed in the source code. But not necessarily in a released version yet.

Last applicable version is 1.12.2.
Is it possible to add Edit button in the issue card? Active e.g. for 10 minutes after issue was submitted?

Hi!

It is normal, that the fog don't effect the trees?

At long distances it's embarrassing to see the trees in the fog...
