I had my first real go at Dragon Rising multiplayer several days ago. I had popped in once before but I hadn't gotten into the main campaign that much yet. I was better prepared this time. I was automatically joined to a game with three English dudes from what I could tell. Probably played for close to two hours and it was great fun. Not sure how tactical we were but we tried. We cracked up every time our driver ran us into a tree. Another time we were all in that airfield tower awaiting the apcs and chopper and somehow one of our guys blew up the whole building from around us leaving us with no cover. Then on the downed pilot mission I secured for us an enemy troop truck. I got in the back and was soon joined by one of my team mates. I almost cracked up as the view had me staring right at him and I couldn't hardly look anywhere else. Then I hear in my earphones a faint British voice saying "Coot...you're one ugly bastage" LOL. Towards the end of that mission they took me off of party chat I assume to make room for oncoming friends so I had to do my best to understand what they were doing. We finally made it to the end but the mission would not end and the Chopper would not land. So then I thought "I bet that pilot is still back there". Sure enough he was and just as I thought that, one of my guys goes trudging off back down the valley to the village. So I guess they figured it out too.

Well it was messy but fun. I sure hope to get a game going with one of you SimHQ guys one of these days.

Coot, let me know anytime you want to play MP. I've been dying to play again but it seems like everyone has moved on to borderlands already. And with MW2 coming out in a wk this will get pushed even further back. I just finished the rescue pilot mission myself on the campaign. I was ready to shoot them myself for not listening to my follow me commands or move to here ones. I had also been sitting at the LZ waiting for it to land when I heard my pilots were shot. I was so pissed I gave up for a few days!

Let me know.

Hey Top Gun. I've got today and tomorrow Wednesday off from work. Can you play at all during these days and if so what time? I'm thinking about going out and buying me a decent headset. I don't have big bucks so I think I'll check into the X1 set. I also just furthered my Gold account for another three months.

I could probably join, too, but I'm in the same position regarding headset and Live subscription. I'll see what I can do.

Hey fellas. Tomorrow night sounds pretty good. I may can only do up to an hour and a half but that will be some decent play time. I'm still pretty new to XBOX live so how do we go about setting up a game? Do we get onto a party line then create our own server? Not exactly sure how it works.

Hey akdavis I just sent you a friends request. I'm: Coot SimHQ

Coot, had a blast last night. Each time we retried we got closer and closer to the end and if I wasn't such a terrible driver we should have made it. I think they need to tweak the handling of vehicles a bit but I'll take the blame.

I'll be on around 9-9:30, can't remember when you said you get home from work.

Hey Top Gun. Yes, that was a bunch of fun. I really enjoyed last night's games as well. We finally beat Hip Shot! Don't ever want to see that mission again lol. I think we found a pretty good team mate in gruesome jester. He's a fun dude to play with as well. Are we going to try again for tonight Friday the 6th? I'm glad I'm getting my money's worth out of OFPDR now.
