America'sArmy: proving grounds was released today via Steam, free... Just the first mission, not sure I'm liking it as much as I did back for the original. Still seems to be a good game, tactics and teamwork...and communications is vital, but the look and feel of it makes it's not as realistic or hardcore as it was, kinda like more action and speed in the game play... but still only an hour with it so far. (OT: I hate games like this AA, and BF3, and MoH for PC that make you be IN GAME to change settings like re-programming your keys because your a left handed gamer.and every time you get killed, it kicks you out of the setup screen back to game to tell you your dead. RIDICULOUS. lol)
just easier for us left handed gamer's to play with a controller when supported, sure it effects my accuracy... but too many buttons to re-program if i use a keyboard.
And after some time with it last night, we had some pretty damn good tactical games... it's not old school tactical, and the maps are much smaller then the original... but do-able for free.

It's not bad, but very far off from original AA. Enemy voices still come across as foreign though, I assume that's like it used to be when the enemy player would talk to their team near you and you'd be tipped off hearing that. Rescues, bandaging and securing is good, but very fast paced and small scale. No assigned roles to fill.
