Multiplayer SADL Guide Herewith a quick guide I put together that firstly illustrates the setup of a SADL network prior to a Flight by looking at the Call-Sign, OWN and GROUP ID entries and thereafter Illustrating the use of the SADL network in an Operational Multiplayer Environment, specifically focusing on A - The Creation and Transmission of a Target Assignments between Players utilizing Markpoints, B - SPI Broadcasting and C - Instant Messaging. I have intentionally focussed this guide on markpoints only insofar as Target Assignments are concerned as I have found that it's quick and easy. **Disclaimer: Any and all errors are mine alone and not indicative of the SIM and attendant content. If I aid one fellow Virtual Aviator by this guide then I consider it Time Well Spent**http://www.mediafire.com/file/1159augv9mxc2ba/Multiplayer%20SADL%20Guide.pdf

thanks, downloading now, now read it and great simple guide, thanks! One question, when trying this I found that we were not able to hand off exact targets. The tasking was in the general area of a group of vehicles but not on the exact target designated. Is there any way to do this or does the transmitted target assignment just give you a general area location?

I have seen the offset being in a vertical plane. My wingman would send me a target and my SPI would show up as under the terrain. Other times it's rather close, not dead on but really close. I don't have a clue why it's off a lot in some missions and on in others.

Erm, what does this aim to do/accomplish exactly? Tells you how to: A - Set up your SADL Network B - Create and Transmit/Receive a Target Assignment to/from another Player/s utilizing Markpoints C - Create/Send/Receive Instant Messages. Explains: A - SPI Broadcast .......in a Multiplayer environment, thus facilitating better Teamwork and as a consequence more enjoyment. It's all in the guide.

Not sure what is right in reality but at least with the patch 1107(actually not tested on 1108 sorry), those positional data doesnt include altitude info, means if you directly slew your device to the datalinked marker, it offsets more from a target which is at higher/lower than sea level(or 0 alt for the plane sent datalink)

Around 20 meters. Tried it again last night but was just locking off another SPI in the TAD. Same general area variance but still helpful, especially with labels off. Must try the buddy lase option too. This sim really is brilliant.

Very nice!
I just flew 3+ hrs in MP with a buddy and we had lots of fun sending target locations to each other.
Really helps a lot with situational awareness.
