So, anyone catch the first episodes of this?

New series by Guillermo del Toro on FX.



Watched the pilot and second episode and it's a nice take on the vampire setting I thought.

Watched the first 40 min. But it was so dull and cliched that I turned it off. I expected better.

It picks up - most of the pilot is setting things up.

I like it so far. To me it's a bit different, which is good. Unfortunately, it feels like a mini series event rather than an ongoing series. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing how the series plays out.

If by setting things up you mean introudceing hackneyed cliched characters who I couldn't give two #%&*$# about,then yeah, I don't think I missed anything by bailong early.

The 2nd is on DVR, but we'll get to it.
I didn't know what it was when we started the pilot, but it's a cool twist on a vampire story. The end of the first one was CREEPY. LOL
I'm glad it isn't another biohazard type show like the one on Syfy and The Last Ship on TNT.

Ugh... second episode was booooring. Here's hoping it won't go down this path.
