Is a new WW1 mod in the offing for IL2 1946?

Now that canvas nights has decided to become a new simm altogather I was wondering if anybody was considering a ww1 mod for il2? I am Not at all interested in a complete new sim but would love to see a simple add on fo IL2.

I think SAS is doing some planes for WW1 and releasing them individually.

There is a series of aircraft being made by various groups but there isnt much in public about them but there will be at least 4-5 aircraft for each side off the top of my head.
Plus maps and objects.

I cant really confirm whats going in only what I have helped with, the Albatros DIII and am currently making one for another Hun Bird which has been shown in screens at SAS

Just read that his ww1 add on will be for modded versions of il2 only. Really don't know wht this means but I am just running the standard version patched to 4.10. Guess i am out of luck?

Theres no way to add aircraft to IL2 without modding your game so its either bite the bullet or miss out I'm afraid

(you can always run 2 installs)
