Apollo 15 astronaut Jim Irwin developed a heart anomaly during his mission, and would eventually suffer 3 heart attacks. The last was fatal at age 61, the youngest age at death of all the 12 moonwalkers.

Thanks for posting OG! I enjoy the little details, and that was interesting.

BTW, Astronaut John Young's heart rate (Gemini pilot, walked on the Moon) never went above 70bpm while piloting the first manned launch of the Space Shuttle.
