Car guys will know that the Haynes Repair Manuals were essential reading for the back yard mechanic. Millions are in circulation world wide. I still probably have a couple somewhere. RIP sir.

I have a few of his books on cars and on Aircraft too.
I've got one for my motorbike... very helpful idea he started, RIP

I remember it was usually the next thing I did after buying a car - grab the relevant Haynes manual. Just something you did.

I liked them best for having complete directions, not just remove the transmission, but step by step. Now days so much is on YouTube...
