I need a true GPS tablet. Recommendations?

I need a true GPS tablet. Recommendations? - 09/13/17 03:31 AM

I had a Samsung 7" tablet that had a true GPS in it for the Nieuport, but it was destroyed when I flipped her, being on my thigh and meeting the bottom of the panel in an aggressive manner.

I paid around 50 USD for it, as it was a model about to be discontinued.

Looking about, I'm just shocked that they're either well over 100 USD or don't have true GPS if they aren't. Indeed, I just returned a tablet to Best Buy, as it advertised having GPS, but it wasn't a true stand alone unit, relying on networks to give a location.

I only need the darned thing to run iFly, so it's not like I need a lot of bells and whistles. It just needs a decent GPS unit native within it.

I got an Archos Oxygen 101b a month or so ago, it was about €130 it has a GPS in it, that was one of the reasons I got that model, I use it to control my quadcopter

Edit: oops it says unavailable, sorry.

Why would the lessor priced have a better true GPS?

For that price, I might pick up one for the car.

I got the regular black non-Disney one. smile

I put in a micro-ad card to increase memory for the nav databases, and I can't speak for its other capabilities (browsing, music, pictures), but it worked well for my purposes. Battery life was about six hours running the app and the gps, less than the advertised eight.

It has a SIM card slot, but I don't like smart phones.

If they still made them, I'd want this for my cell phone:
