A little help for while on long term sick... - 08/09/17 12:49 PM

So I got injured on duty on the night of the 8th (my birthday no less!). Chasing a guy who broke into a car and during the chase tripped over a kerb which gave the guy the perfect chance to out the boot in. I currently have a shattered left wrist (typing is fun), broken rib or two and chipped bone in shoulder. I'm having pins and plates put in wrist tomorrow and probably off for 3 months I estimate.

So.....anyone know of any good Steam games with mouse only for one hand? Military stuff only really though flexible other than that, I have CMANO and Cold Waters which I love.

Thanks, been looking on the Steam store and not had much success. Other than that a re-run of Breaking Bad is in order!

Cheers

Sorry to hear that, I wish you a speedy recovery.

This is a more light weight type game, but I do remember it being a reasonably mouse-only type game. I played it to completion and it was quite memorable.

I also have this one, another mostly mouse-only war game. I've not completed this one.

You might enjoy the tactical turn based shooter strategy games like Frozen Synapse and Breach & Clear. IIRC those can be controlled with just mouse.
If you like westerns, Hard West plays similarly, but simply. It's fun though. Maybe Company of Heroes for WWII? I think you could do that. Might want to confirm edge of screen map movement for these.

Do you think a small remote control sized keyboard would help you in the meantime? Something you could hold close in. There are a lot out there, but I have an older version of this one and its pretty convenient sometimes.

Hope you heal up soon!

I don't have any game suggestions off of the top of my head, other than those already mentioned, but you have my sympathy. I shattered my left wrist about ten years ago, from a slip on icy pavement. I now have a titanium plate and ten screws holding it together. The good news is that once it heals completely it will probably work 99% as good as before you broke it. Plus the post surgical x-ray is quite something to see. Good luck with everything.
