In lieu of all these dead celebrities we've lost in the past year+, it reminded me that I meant to post this in 2015 but must have forgotten or gotten too distracted away. Anyway my wife Joanna and I visited Switzerland to visit her favorite idol Audrey Hepburn around the time of her birthday. So we went to her grave to pay respects and to her home in Tolechenaz and also saw her wedding site in Burkenstock.
While we were there went on a scavenger hunt of sorts trying to fins other dead celebrities' graves and we also found Richard Burton, Coco Chanel, Charlie Chaplin, and David Niven, all in one day.
It was pretty fun trying to hunt down these sites and amazing to think that such famous people were in such quiet, no-publicity, hidden in small town sites. It was also surreal to think that this is probably the most physically close we can get to these Hollywood icons, and closer than most will ever be.
Wow.
