Don't drink and drive!

Don't drink and drive! - 04/21/17 03:51 PM

I would like to share an experience with you all about drinking and driving. As you well know some of us have been known to have had rare brushes with the authorities on our way home from the odd social session over the years.
A couple of nights ago I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many beers and some shots. Knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit I did something I've never done before?
I took a bus home. Sure enough, I passed a DUI checkpoint, but as it was a bus they waved it through. I arrived home safely without incident, which was a real surprise, as I have never driven a bus before and am not sure where I got it.

LOL! biggrin Not what I was expecting!

++++++++++

If I may take this opportunity to be a bit of a buzzkill in this comical thread...

You guys know every so often, usually on a Friday evening, I enjoy a 3-shot drink and then after my last swig, wait the minimal 3 hours before driving (1 hour per shot). Usually it's more like 3.5 hours.

Now, even at my highest BAC, believe or not, I'm not over the legal limit for driving (which is ridiculous really, to be able to legally drive while you're buzzed). But I know that when I *do* drive, I'm good (should register *nothing*).

But driving home late on a Friday evening (rather early Saturday morning) is increasing my odds of being killed by other idiots, seems like I see at least one erratic driver every single time!
