Melding human brain with computers - 04/21/17 12:04 PM

Some more fascinating stuff from Elon Musk,

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/04/21/elon...with-computers-in-four-years-report.html

Will it be possible to store and then later download someone's consciousness? If that can be perfected then all that remains is being able to produce artificial human bodies whereby that consciousness can then be downloaded into it.

Maybe Musk can then invent a sort of "hub" that would serve as a central repository for these bodies and stored consciousness modules?

Maybe something like this? wink

That would create all kinds of problems and in that category we already have our hands full so Panzer you and Elon need to stop trying to cause more problems

Stored consciousness, changeable bodies...immortality?

Maybe you and your partner can swap bodies and experience being the opposite gender for one evening. eek2

Sorta like "Turnabout Intruder." smile

LOL!! Shatner did more overacting in that episode alone than he did for the rest of his career afterwards.

Well, he (rather she) *was* a woman except for his (I mean her) physical body so it seems fitting! biggrin

@PanzerMeyer, there was a website on the internet with the title 2050 or something that was claiming just that.. by 2020 the plan is to be able to inject the human conscious into a Robot entity the final plan is to be able to have cloned bodies of sorts with the end goal of just switching bodies when it gets old.. immortality of sorts..

Now I know this sounds wierd but it was a real website and they were not kidding but it has since gone underground.. you can believe it or not but I saw what I saw..

Ahh I done a life sentence here is enough you can have this crummy planet and crazies running it..but the procedure I am sure will be only for the wealthy wink

This is an excellent opportunity to recommend a show that ties in directly with this topic:

"Caprica". It only lasted one season but I highly recommend it if this sort of stuff fascinates you.

This would be absolutely great for RTS games where the more actions you can do in a given amount of time result in you beating either AI or human opponents more often. No more frantically moving a mouse around to click on stuff on the screen.

We are the Elon. Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile.
