Regarding CFS3... - 03/24/19 10:54 AM

Most likely I have missed the answer in my searching, but...

I understand one does not need to install CFS3, to have WOFF UE, just need to won it. My question, how does WOFFUE know I own it? Does it ask for the MS key code?

Confused.

WOFF UE doesn't need CFS3. WOFF UE is totally independant. You just need to own a copy of CFS3 for licensing purposes and no key is required. You are on your honour!

Hi Jim,il jump in incase others are busy..No WOFFUE doesn't know you own it,you don't need CFS3 installed anywhere.
You legally and "morally" "need" to own for licensing purposes. It doesn't ask for the MS key code pal. The only code WOFFUE asks is after you've installed and WOFF loads..is your WOFFUE order code key that you'd receive in your order email. (Write it down) incase it's needed again in the future.

Best of luck any questions regarding WOFF don't hesitate to ask..it's a brilliant friendly forum. Welcome to the forum pal.

Edit:Robert answered before me..Thanks Robert.
Also Jim. Don't forget the free skins download on the main downloads page and patch it up to the latest version. Also when/if your comfortable check out the mod page, there's some absolutely brilliant mods for this sim.

Thanks for the quick replies, Robert and Adger.

My reason for asking was I bought a cheap copy of CFS3 off of ebay, and it only came with the 2 disks. I sent the seller a msg, regarding the key code, but had not heard back yet.

It's good to know I don't need it, and glad I am also 'legally and morally' a CFS3 owner, now. smile

I didn't see any section to do a intro. I'm almost totally new to flight sims (only experience was with Red Baron, many years ago). Not a avid flight interest person, more into modelling, and pretty specifically focused with that. WWI RNAS is my primary interest, with a bit of WWII English Channel Ops added in.

I have RoF, though have not had time to do much with it, as of yet, but I liked what I read about WOFF, the 'career path', in particular.

Again, many thanks.

Your welcome Jim,many people say that WOFFUE is probably the closest sim in regards to a "successor" to Red Baron.

80 flyables,a career for Britain,Germany and America..you can have multiple carreers going at any time you like. You can start in any squadron (Jasta) at any time or do some flight training first and see where you get posted. The A.I alone is worth the price mate. Like I said welcome to the forums and any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi JimF,

Welcome to the fray.
If I may ask, what, if any, flight controls do you have?
