geforce GTX 1060 - 12/06/18 01:24 PM

Hi, i 've done a fresh new install of WOFFUE (updated to the last patch 4.21) on a new rig : MSI gamer laptop with a GTX 1060 GC . I've come through the dreaded runtime dll error message and that's not a problem anymore BUT realizing that I was only at around 40 FPS on a free flight Quick Mission, I figured out that the Mobo intel graphics card HD 360 was set on default in the global parameters of the Nvidia control panel. Not a problem, my next move was to set it to the Nvidia graphic card by default ...and since, Woff does not even launch unless I set the global parameters to Intel graphics back. Any hint ?
Thank you in advance .

PS:I ve installed Il246 too which launches and runs perfectly with Nvidia graphics set on in the Nvidia control panel.

EDIT : same problem with WOTR ...

You need to set CFS3.exe to run on the nvidia not WOFF.exe

Or disable the Intel in the BIOS, you do not need a poorer gfx card running when you have a nice 1060?

Thank you Pol!
that's what I did , but I cannot figure out what gfx card is on duty when I play WOFF or WOTR...only the fact that I never have more than 40 FPS in both games when flying an free flight with everything maxed out and systematic CTD when launching both games with Nvidia gfx set on global settings inNvidia control panel ...and you're right ,that would be sad to play on an intel MOBO graphics card :-) !!

you have to excuse my friend, he's a little slow, I have the gtx 1070 card and I get the same result, run time error... can someone explain how to correct the problem in laymen's terms please????

Layman's terms maybe not,

Firstly, read the FAQ section "LAPTOP USERS’ NOTES" it may be similar to what you have you can try those steps.

Lots of people with dual cards have issues with games, see :

also:

"just fixed it by disabling my integrated gfx in BIOS. Im pretty sure this also disables Optimus. How do people use integrated gfx without optimus? "

Going into the BIOS I cannot help with you need to get someone who knows what they are doing to look for you on youir PC.Messing about in there with little knowledge is a bad idea.

Major... if you do NOT have an Intel too, then you have a completely different issue. Contact support maybe.

As per the requirements, we do not support laptops, we usually try to help but there are no guartantees given their custom nature.

What happened General_Mayhem, do you know what changed?
Do you have an Intel CPU too?

The thing that did the trick for me is to let the integrated graphics with the global settings while programm settings are set with nvidia GC on.

OK great. There are tools to show you if a gfx card is running optmimus is one for Nvidia. There's a setting to turn it on in the Nvidia pane if you have a laptop dual NVidia.Intel GPU.
