WOFF fighter Question !

WOFF fighter Question ! - 05/23/19 12:37 PM

Hi guys,

We are mulling various things for the future, and to help can you answer this question, we just need a very short answer with the aircraft name (e.g. Albatros D.III, or S.E.5a or whatever).
No detailed replies at this stage please, thanks.

So..

What is your favourite WOFF fighter to fly?

(preferably just 1 aircraft please)

Keep em coming those who haven't replied - thanks

No suggestions please Maeran, I just want the one favourite aircraft actually available in WOFF.

Didn't plan for multiples of aircraft per response, so I'll divide the weighting.... so if 2 favourites are posted, I will count it 0.5 each

I'm still in early 1915, so the only "fighter" I've ever flown is the Morane 'L' parasol. I'm not really happy with it.

The last 3 are all very interesting but useless wink. For anyone reading I feel I need to point out Sailor_Steve is deliberately flying extremely early for a protect, WOFF is not that dead ! Try some later campaigns for fun Sailor_Steve!

I'll get there. I plan on continuing through the war. I'm already quite familiar with all the aircraft in the game, and a lot more, due to having played a 3D, build models and push big trolleys around the floor for the past 40 years. My favorite fighter in that context is the Albatros D.III.

OK that's more useful thanks smile

Re: WOFF fighter Question ! - 05/25/19 07:14 PM

Jeez, what a request - a single plane with no context.

So many I have not flown like the pup, DVII, DR1.
And I've not flown much in the early or late years, seems I tend to stick in the 1916/1917 years.
Only recently getting into 1918.
I've started a French Pilot a while back and got him up the the Spad XIII

When I first started WOFF, the N11 was not fun, a second go around a year later and it was a different story.

However when I first started WOFF - I recall graduating from the Strutter to the Tripehound was like turning on a light.
It was my first long lived pilot.

So while I really do not stick with a particular plane, I will have to say the Sopwith Triplane.
Even though I have yet to have another Tripehound pilot.

Regards,

Sorry. Know you wanted only one but these get almost as much flight time.
Felt wrong leaving them out.

Made me look:

drom·e·dar·y
/ˈdräməˌderē/
noun
noun: dromedary; plural noun: dromedaries

an Arabian one-humped camel, especially one of a light and swift breed trained for riding or racing.

I can go back to sleep now. winkngrin

You'll have to wait a couple of patches for the driedary model to come out...

Triple-J, despite its bomber classification, it is still a fighter. Fighting a good fight against the potato beetle and the cabbage moth. German population is forever in debt.

Blade, it’s the little details like the number of humps that count. cool

F.E.2b
If it counts...
Otherwise DH.2.

I really like pusher planes. I'm surprised they aren't getting votes. They have the handling and visibility of tiny under-powered jet fighters smile.
