You are welcome. Fences will still badly damage your canvas and wooden aircraft, and don't hit them fast or all bets are off - fast into anything is usually a very bad idea. Like a bird made of flesh and tiny bones hitting your windscreen when you are doing 70mph. Although the bird gets the worst your car is broken and you may crash and die.

Which from my own experience is not true, still writing this, but I know what you wanting to say.
Lots of discussion was going on about this titanium fences so I’m not alone on this and I think it is great that we have now a more realistic crash aspect, guess now thanks to the more critical WW2 players.

Well a bird (bag of flesh and little bones) hit my car on the bonnet on the motorway and put a massive dent in it about the size of a large dinner plate.

We did not have to do this at all, and we did not have to add it to WOFF but we chose to. It's got nothing to do with WW2 being "more critical" actually, it just happens to be the one we are working on currently because that product is new and therefore it has needed patches as any new software does. WOFF doesn't need patches currently. So WOTR got any new features whilst we fixed up other things. It's not easy to transfer code and flip between different software, they are quite different in many respects internally.

Much appreciated, Pol. I have no doubt that WOTR is not WOFF UE with just a simple WWII skin over the top of it. So many systems must have been reworked or built from the ground up to properly support the huge differences between the two technologies that existed from WWI to WWII. So jumping code from one sim to another must be time consuming and not a straight forward process as some might think. As always, thank you for all that you do.

Some time ago, Rolls-Royce were working closely with American engine developers and they were asked how Rolls-Royce tested their engines for the effects of bird strikes.
Rolls-Royce replied that they test impact damage by releasing a chicken, purchased from the local supermarket, into the running engine.
Some time later the American's sent back a report, in which it stated that they tried what Rolls-Royce had suggested and that their engine on test was completely wrecked.
Rolls-Royce read the report then replied 'Next time defrost the frozen chicken before testing with it'.

OT: I had a bird go through my prop during climbout in a Cessna 152. Didn't even had time to react, it was just a black blur from 2 o'clock high. Didn't feel anything, and everything ran normally. On landing, I went to check the prop. It was fine, but the nose of the plane was covered in yellow goo. My flight instructor hit a bird once and it dented the leading edge of his wing.

After installing the 4.21 patch, my game took a hit on fps. It would stutter and stop for a heartbeat or so every 5 to 6 seconds. I uninstalled everything and started over with a clean install, this time using 4.20. Everything returned to normal. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Your statement is too vague for testing purposes so first get a test mission and verify your fps issue first. You must compare a saved mission - exactly the same mission and do before and after tests in 4.20 and 4.21 otherwise you cannot know if the issue shows with the 4.21 patch for sure. Too much changes from mission to mission.

PS the only code change in 4.21 from 4.20 is ground collision code, code which is only used at the point you actually hit something. So it can't be that.

If I install 4.21 again and it has the same problem, I'll have to do a complete WOFFUE install again. No matter the problem, whether it was something on my end or not, right now it's working just fine. I'll just leave it as it is. Thank you, though..

Yes, but they weren't the problem. I uninstalled all mods. Installed 4.21 and then one mod at a time. After each mod, I tested. Still stuttering. I started checking my adjustments in workshop. Ok there. I found the problem in my catalyst control cemter. Somehow I had ticked ' triple buffering ' in my 3D settings. I un-ticked it and voila. Back to normal.

Ok thanks, didn't make sense it was the 4.21 - that's why it's always worth stopping and thinking "did I change anything else"

Odd how you re-installed 4.20 and all was well again though? Did you set the triple buffering also off at that time?

I can check my settings without fully opening ccc. In openGL settings, it shows triple buffering. It doesn't show what the settings are. I was in and out if it so many times, I had to have set it for ' on ' at some point before the install. I've never been in the habit of writting down the changes I make for anything. I tell myself I'll remember. And as always....
Anyway, it was acting on your advice I decided to give it another shot. Thanks.

Was really looking forward to this update after the feature was introduced to WOTR, glad to see it ported over so quickly!
