All the Spad talk reminded me that I needed this third book in the series. Click, click on the smart phone and on the way. Already have the one for the British/Commonwealth Aces and the one for the Germans. Now I’ll have a little more knowledge as to the French participation.

That's a great book! I purchased this many years ago and still open it from time to time. Another really great book is 'Schlachtflieger!' and is about the German recon aircraft.

Nice selection Trooper.
Got about half your list already and the other half is pending.

Well yes indeed sir!
Another great series detailing Lee’s time with 46 Squadron. Reread those too! Bit of a geek I guess.

And since we are making recommendations “Wind in the Wires” by Captain Grinnel-Milne (did I spell that right?) is another first person account of time spent with 16 then 56 Squadron. Several times it made me laugh out loud - a rarity in my life! Great read.

May as well throw in another favorite - “High in the Empty Blue” which is a history of 56 Squadron. Currently out of print but used copies are available via Amazon. Took me a while to get a perfect/like new copy. Reread that quite often also!

McCudden's "Five Years in the Royal Flying Corps," was a book that I read, reread, and then reread again until it pretty much fell apart.

And another.
Yea. I gotta retire just to catch up on my reading.
And I still got to buy a Kindle-like thing for the huge (100+ I think) collection of WW1 ebooks courtesy of our own Lou.

So many great books, so little time.

Sadly true sir.
Plus Pol’s promise the WOFF will have 199+ planes by the next century.
Gotta pace myself here.

Not until the next century, eh? I best hope the singularity gets here soon then if I want any hope of seeing them all.
