Does anyone play an actual medic anymore?

Fired up BF1 for the first time in a couple months and tried an operation. I think I was the only medic, at least the only medic carry first aid and the syringe, and people were wondering why we were losing? We would take an objective all get killed and then have to start over again.

When did people stop playing medics?
