VRS FA18 AGM84H - 09/03/13 01:11 PM

Anyone using the 84H's? We are using them with good results. Only problem is setting a wp for a tgt with elevation, then transferring that data to the 84. Any help?

Ask in the VRS forums.

And since when is a Harpoon used for anything other than ships?

The AGM 84H is a long range (150+nm) missile with a guidance system for land targets. We have been using them now for about 23 weeks. Only problem is you must set the tgt elevation. With a tgt at 3500'MSL athe missile will land short as it assumes the tgt to be at sea level. We are experimenting with the best way to get the elvel set into the 84H. You can set the lat/long and evel manually, but that is a hassle!

Are you absolutely sure that VRS considered this nonstandard use of an AS-missile?

And you are 110% sure that this secondary operating mode of an anti-ship missile is simulated and mentioned in the manual?
