Hy eveyone, today i've downloaded an AH6 Model if someone is interested to put it in EECH let me know.

If you talking about adding new helicopter in the game - this work is extremely hard, not sure someone will take it now.
But if you have properly textured models for existing helicopters (any - may be ch-47, mv-22 etc.) I can replace old one and make animations. I'm working now with these models anyway.

Hi again i've found two models of the ah64d (no radar versions)i thought that one of them could be a good update for the ah64a model, i hope that they can interests you, i've also found ah1w, ka25 and an old version of the ch47.

Alex What is a reasonable limit of polygons helicopter?

joe13, good enough is 4000-5000 triangles for LOD0 (game renders models in triangles even if your model includes quads and >4 vertices polygons, so for counting purpose you should triple them). Top limit 10k I suppose - otherwise scene with several helicopters at close range will be too heavy. It's not a problem to decrease number of polys until model does not consist tiny lines like window frames, in this case part of work should be done manually.
SKIP2008, ch-47a has too low payload, it will be not wise to set it for heavy-lift missions =) I started with ah-1w, it has worst model right now. There is several models - with 250k polies (it's just crazy!), 125 and low poly model without interior - 10k polies. Trying to mix last two. Will show then will get something.

There are two explanations or these photos are photoshopped, or there is simply no dx9 in the game.It looks good, do not complain wink Maybe because is better photorealistic skin, not painted.But this is much more work.

I might be interested in adding the AH-6 model. How many polys does it have? Is it a Lightwave model?

joe13, this is high-poly model in software rendering, of course it will be better.
Will try to make skins similar to this two >link<. And AH1-W will be like unicorn - everyone knows it's gorgeous but no one seen it (never saw it in the game)

Messyhead the model is in max format, but i don't know how many polygons are in it, you can find it on the free 3d models.com.

just for the record - I have perfectly suitable mi-24, ch-53, ka-29. and it's possible to make AH1-T from AH1-W. still looking for others.

no, thanks. I'm replacing only low quality models, have no time to improve that is good enough (for now at least).
