Oddly enough..it was white. It went over my house at probably a few hundred feet enroute to somewhere. Half expected to see "UN" written on it!

Well barring a false ID I'm pretty sure I saw a white-liveried Hind in Berlin, Germany last autumn - how's that for cool? An ex-NVA chopper on its way to UN service maybe?

Now that is a good point - it could very well have been an Mi-17...

They've painted all the black helicopters white just to throw you off the trail . . .

They have several down at Eglin AFB in Florida and they use them constantly for training groups on operation and usage of the foreign choppers. Buddy of mine is a former AC-130 pilot and is now learning how to operate rotor wing aircraft as part of a Joint Spec Ops program that has him shooting, performing CQB drills, offensive and defensive driving and learning foreign languages.

Saw some of these (Hips) doing building construction work in Berlin - very noisy things they are, too.
