Rise of flight Steam version? - 10/13/18 03:52 PM

How much different is ROF steam united from regular ROF that I have all the airplanes purchased?

I haven't played RoF for quite some time and didn't even know there was a Steam version.

So I just installed it. When I started it up it came up with the usual RoF login screen so I entered my email and password and everything was as it was, all my planes are available and I don't immediately see any differences.

Seems to me its exactly the same, just in your Steam library.

You have to use a new email account and password, then you will have the base
Steam game, then add Steam downloadable content for game.
Using your old email and password will play your non steam game.

Once you log into the steam version with your existing RoF account and buy a Steam DLC (and activate it) you are then locked to Sream and can no longer buy from the RoF webstore.

If you have a standalone game and use the webstore to slowly build up your hangar, logging in on Steam is not a good idea. It's a one way street.
And you will be locked into only buying DLC from Steam.

I have always advised people to stay away from the Steam Version
