Was there a 1.001 patch?
I thought I'd seen that getting a patch out was scheduled prior to the wider release, so things seem to be moving along.

And like clockwork, DiFiS has prepared a video to give a taste of some of the latest.
That is great news indeed! There were some rather inconvenient (But nothing that ruins the game.) Bugs with the GUI and such, hopefully the gameplay bugs will also include bomber gunner fix. I also heard that pilots will now (Or very soon.) be affected by bullets (As well as unconsiousness, redouts, blackouts, stuff coming on the goggles, etc.) But of course I do not know for sure so I stand humbly and utterly correctable.
Thx Egatiro!

Very cool stuff.
So what exactly happens after you're wounded? Is it like the old Red Baron where you have a certain amount of time to land before you die in the air? If you do land successfully, does a cutscene play where the groundcrew rushes to your aid? Just curious.

New goodies are ricochet and bullet penetration
001 patch - 200MB
002 patch - 300MB
Hmmm...
Yeah, lots of new stuff here, planes doesnt explode as often, and when they do, its not that big hollywood-style kind of explosion.
Gunners and pilots are now vulnerable, When hit they kind of fall down in their cockpit, or get kinnda ragdolled to the side inside their cockpit, with the plane (If pilot is hit.) spiraling out of control.
And gunners, while still being a bit too lethal, are not as "l33t" as in the initial release. A nice addition IMHO, details which provides alot to the immersion.
FSAA can now be set via game settings, overall the graphics looks much better while FPS is increased.
As earlier mentioned, you can now be wounded in action as well, but so can the enemy.
The reversed rudder pedal bug is fixed, in-game map button now functioning, Nieuport 17 is now sturdy and can now offer a serious fight.
Small thing that I personally think is remaining, meaning, not too essential to gameplay right now, but which will be noticed by others as well is:
The DFWC is a tad weak, bombers try to outmaneuver you as well, so the DFWC sticks out the most, with its wings collapsing almost all the time during those maneuvers, that does not bother me, what is a little alarming is that bomber pilots did not always toss their planes around like that, but rather tried to maneuver for the rear gunner to get a shot at the attacking foe.
Again, not a biggie, but is noticeable for the knowledgeable.

I didn't have enough time to check this option, but certainly - there is no ground crew to help after landing:)
Just grass and birds singing their songs as usual.
In flight, when hit and wounded, you just hear the sound of bullets hitting the plane and right after this you see this bloody screen. It is still possible to land if your plane didn't catch the fire. If there is a fire - then in several seconds you loose ability to see the world from the cockpit, just external view of the burning plane. It could last few minutes - my SPAD yesterday was flying long enough with my dead body, uncontrolled before it finally hit the ground...

The reversed rudder pedal bug is fixed
Hmm, for me the rudder is reversed now and I can't fix it via the settings program (invert axis still seems broken).
What I found though is in the settings text file.
For keyboard settings, there's ususally two axis entries; eg (though I'm not sure the names are exxactly like this, writing from memory):
RPC_MIXTURE_P=key_equal
RPC_MIXTURE_N=key_minus
RPC_MIXTURE_P=joy0_axis_T
I figured the P and N stand for positive and negative respectively.
So I just scrolled to the rudder section, and replaced:
RPC_YAW_P=joy1_axis_X
with:
RPC_YAW_N=joy1_axis_X
and my rudder pedals were reversed. The same thing goes for other axis', eg. throttle, if you want it reversed, just replace P with N in the settings config file.

Rousing music and a rousing video Vladimir!
Should have titled it "Flight Of the Vultures" though.

Instead of rudder pedals, you can twist the joystick, am I correct??
