ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread

ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/24/19 06:17 PM

It's been fatiguing people to always create new threads for our sessions.

Please use this thread to most anticipation comments, after action comments, etc. If there are special announcements, like cancellations, it would be appropriate to make a new thread.

That said, looking forward to tonight's session. Hopefully panzer can make it this time and hopefully adlabs can get his mission done in time.

LOL!! My sarcasm meter is off the charts!

I'll be around tonight for sure. Last week I was enjoying the beach on the Florida Gulf coast. smile

There was an Unsung mod update this afternoon. Adlabs, get downloading, so it doesn't affect your Monday session too much. (This is a Saturday mod and shouldn't affect mod people, other than adlabs)

Already done, luckily I was on it early!

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 08/11/19 11:13 PM

There was an update to RHS and Hellanmaa this weekend. Get your steam downloads going for tomorrow.

Hopefully Meat will be able to update the server. RHS is critical for pretty much all our missions.

yup, server will be all updated and ready for play smile
Posted By: PanzerMeyer

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 08/12/19 10:43 AM

I'll download it as soon as I get home from work. How big were the updates?
Posted By: saghen

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 08/12/19 10:49 AM

Around 3GB.

Also, meatshield mentioned privately that he will be adding a new map to the server. I guess I'm jumping the gun.

Please get Cham from the workshop. You will need to manually add and save it to your pre-set that you use for the Monday session.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1789554117
If the link doesn't work, just to the ARMA 3 workshop and search for it.

Note: Cham is not needed for today, but going forward.

I'm making a mission for it right now. Hopefully it will be done in time. Should be.

For those that downloaded before today, there was an update just released. :S Hopefully Meatshield can update the server to the latest. We might get some incompatibilities.

I'm getting pumped for today's session. I made a new mission set.in 1980s Germany. We are Polizei commandos, taking down members of the Baader-Meinhof Gang.

It was downloaded from the Steam client without me even running the mod launcher so I assume it's an official patch for the main game.

It's a Arma 3 patch alright, 4 Gb. as you said.

Sorry to hear that adlabs. Is your download usually that slow?
Posted By: adlabs6

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 10/15/19 02:34 PM

It seemed a bit slower last night, but I'm not sure. I typically can download around 1GB per hour, and with a 4GB patch... maybe it was doing the usual speed.

Saghen, Bonchie didn't make it for Rainbow 6 last night, so I assume he is away for the weekend. I would suggest that we won't have more than you and I for today's ARMA, so we should cancel it for today. What do you think ?

There was the huge Global Mobilization DLC patch from last week. Did everybody get it downloaded yet and are ready to play?

Meatshield hasn't been around to update the server, but we should probably be okay to play on missions not requiring it. Maybe missions still using it will work, I don't know.

My update still isn't done. We'll see if it get's finished by game time.

Regarding the game server, tonight I'll run the Steam update and it *should* be all set.

Saying it again, nice winter mission, adlabs. Keep up the formula. Maybe change up the vehicles or maybe we have to steal armored vehicles/tanks and go blow something up. Like insurgents.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 02/04/20 03:33 PM

Fantastic new mission, saghen. That and the 2nd we played had a nice "epic" sort of progress feel. The AI are punishing, as is normal lately, but keeping things together was rewarding.

That 2nd mission was going well until we cleared those buildings. I need to crack the whip on that, assigning pairs to clear each building, and supervising the progress, rather than just letting it play out.
Posted By: PanzerMeyer

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 02/04/20 03:47 PM

Yes, indeed. I really enjoyed the new mission saghen!

I think the failure on the second mission was also due to some bad luck of people getting hit in quick succession.
Posted By: saghen

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 02/04/20 04:02 PM

Thanks.

It's difficult to judge how a mission will play out when making a mission. Glad it wasn't a bloodbath the second time around.

I think I got a bum deal on that first play. When I was ahead of you guys, reconning the path toward the objectives, I looked back up the hill more than once. You guys were completely hidden in layers of trees, such that I could only see you intermittently as I directed movements.

We weren't standing out against the sky, or anything. Between our camo, concealment, and rocks for cover... I think the AI had some dirty plays going on.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 02/18/20 11:19 PM

Thanks for the new mission, adlabs.

It didn't go so well. I lead us on a circuitous route to the west and didn't encounter any enemy in our path on the way in. We encountered a couple of guys on the dirt road and then went to the ferry. No activity, so we headed back into the woods and got quickly overwhelmed by a volume of fire from the encampment.
Posted By: adlabs6

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 02/18/20 11:43 PM

Well, count that as mission designer fail, then. Actually the western approach was the one I imagined as attractive (though any *should* be viable), and there should have been some patrols along that route (at least 10 I'd say?).

So maybe something is goofed. I'll check it out!

Hey guys.

Currently, there's an ARMA 3 sale. They're giving away the Karts DLC away for free. Would you please go to the Steam store and get it. Maybe we'll somehow make use of it in our missions somehow.

Would you please confirm if you've added it to your account. (again, free, until June 1st)

Thank's guy's, I hope I can spend this winter in the U.S. but it's looking pretty grim at the moment. frown By the way Sagen I really enjoyed the first mission last night that you built. That was tough and very immersive, a real blast !

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/23/20 03:27 PM

Yeah, very unfortunate. I think it's the way GM is packaged. It has to be re-download in it's entirety, rather than an overwriting type of patch.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/27/20 10:35 PM

Guys, I'm going to be away from Arma for a while. The last couple of months real life has made it tough for me to make a reliable appearance, and that's going to keep happening for the next few months.

Plus my interest in other non-Arma things has been increasing for months now. And I'm investing more time in that stuff than ever before. And all of this makes it even tougher to make time for mission building, too.

I've had a long run with Arma, really enjoyable times. And I still may get to drop in on a session, from time to time in the coming months.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/28/20 04:24 PM

Good luck Ads ! Sorry to see you go, but hope to see you in the future sometimes at Arma sessions ! smile

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/28/20 09:55 PM

Thanks, Prof. I really enjoy playing with you guys, meeting with our players is often the strong point of the session for me. I'm sure I'll get in a session here and there.

Lately I've been constantly noticing the clock on Mondays, though, as real life stuff is going on... Oh, I'm late... Darn, missed half the session... Or the whole thing... Arg.

At least with me having posted this, I can maybe avoid that feeling!

Nice playing with you, adlabs. Thanks for all the mission making help and adminning.

I know you mentioned lack of interest as well, but would changing to a different day/time be more helpeful for your attendence, in the event that you actually want to come?

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/28/20 10:35 PM

Hi, hopefull you can join us.

Please note, you need the Global Mobilization DLC, as well, as the Apex DLC in order to play. Unfortunately that link that Panzer linked was not filled with enough information.

If you get all the DLCs and mods downloaded, let me know. We can meet on Teamspeak and try to make sure your stuff works properly on the server. Please do not join the server at 7:55PM before game time and not have it sorted out. I have wide availability and am willing to help. smile

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 12/31/20 08:24 PM

You're welcome!

OK. I bought the Contact DLC. I ran one of the default Contact MP missions with no problems on the server. So it looks like that is a non-issue.

Please feel free to get the DLC. Please let me know if/when you get it, to confirm if I should make missions with it for Monday.

Like the Global Mobilization DLC, you'll need to add it in the ARMA 3 launcher. Then you need to click on the blue Play with mods/dics button in the lower bottom left. **Do not click on the 'Play Contact' button unless you want to play with the Single player/alien stuff. I couldn't see a way to get to multiplayer with that. ** So you definitely want to go with the blue button route
Posted By: saghen

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 01/03/21 07:08 PM

Right then.

Hopefully everybody's gotten the Contact DLC working. I didn't see confirmation that Panzer got the DLC. Hopefully it's the case.

Monday we have a full docket. I made 3 missions.
1. US forces attack an East German refueling depot in Werferlingen.
2. Livonian Defense Forces attack covert Spetnaz safe houses in the Livonian countryside
3. Livonian Defense Force attack a Russian helicopter forward operating base in the forests of Livonia.

Let the hype begin.

Two new missions so far, working on the third. All featuring British forces in Scotland, the Carribean and Afghanistan.

In Scotland?? What's the hypothetical conflict for that mission?

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 03/24/21 02:00 PM

Thanks for the info. I assume this will just be auto-downloaded via the Steam workshop when the ArmA launcher is started or do we have to do anything manually?

edit: Oh wait, this is one of the official DLC's so it should just auto-update when the Steam client is launched.
Posted By: saghen

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 03/24/21 03:40 PM

yes, it should autodownload. for me, sometimes steam fails to download an update immediately and schedules it. it could be scheduled days away.

Thanks for playing tonight.

After the session and I went back into the last mission files and removed that BS big tower and changes the compound. I also think I fixed that trigger that prevented the end of the mission. In the event we play the mission again, I think it will be more enjoyable.

Gin, did you get it or plan to get it?

Meat, could you advise if you'll be setting up the DLC on the server and do you think you'll get it done by Monday?

Thanks

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/07/21 05:51 PM

Quick question.... I just got the the DLC but haven't played ARMA in a few years so I don't know anyone for MP. Do you all just let any riffraff join in? I don't play MP except for HUNT and before that was just VBS for work. I'd even play OPFOR just to play the DLC smile

You are definitely welcome to join us but we use several required mods for the Military Monday sessions. Just check out the main sticky thread for info on the mods and how to install them.

Just a heads up, we went in on the major DLCs. You'll need.the mods as Panzer mentioned, but the Apex, Global Mobilization and Contact DLCs too.. Along with PF, of course. Good news if you dont already have them is that they are heavily discounted right now on Steam.
Posted By: saghen

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/10/21 03:52 AM

Right then.

I've created two new missions using the PF DLC. Hopefully everthing works out okay. I may or may not have time to make another mission before the session.

Currently the server is set up with the DLC and is turned on. I would suggest logging in sometime before the session, and try loading a PF mission or mine to see if things work.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/17/21 01:21 AM

I made two more Vietnam missions today. So, we'll have 3 new ones to play tomorrow. These are using stock Prairie Fire assets, so if anybody wants to join and only has Prairie Fire at the moment, come join us.

I am hoping to start at 7:50. I'm really hoping to squeeze in all 3 missions.

There are so many epic locations. I gets kind of frustrating that I can't make and play more missions.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/24/21 02:08 AM

Two new missions for Monday. They're set in Vietnam.

First mission is to clear a VC village on a hill overlooking a strategic river that US forces use.
Second mission is to clear a North Vietnamese attack boat base on an island off the mainland and to destroy the attack boats.

These missions use stock Prairie Fire assets, so if you have A3 and Prairie Fire, you can come and play.

I've attached a couple of preview screenshots.

Try to come a little earlier, so we can try to play all three.

Oh that really sucks. What was the reason for the outage given by your power company?
Posted By: TheProf

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 07/26/21 11:55 AM

Yeah, that's a real shame. I was wondering if that storm would affect you, we got a lot of rain, but not enough for flooding, etc. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see if they get power restored ahead of schedule.
Posted By: saghen

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 07/26/21 01:33 PM

My power's back and hopefully will remain so, so I can get some MM in.

Huge storm passed through Metro Detroit with 165k without power. In my area there was tornado-ic like activity, even if it wasn't classified as such. About a mile away, beachers at a baseball field were thrown and mangled. Huge trees tipped over and broke. And the main power lines that I'm connected to were down and the power company was replacing poles and putting the lines back together yesterday and yesterday evening.

Yes, glad to hear your ok and you've got power back, that was quite the storm. I heard, that night, that there were reports a tornado had touched down. I guess that was in your area. All the TV channels cut over to covering the storm about 9:00 pm that night. It looked pretty bad.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 07/26/21 04:05 PM

Good to hear. Thanks for the update and we'll see you next week!

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 09/07/21 11:26 PM

Success ! Bought the 1.0 Tb. SSD, installed it, formatted it, it's all working. Pulling the bad Hard Drive has solved the shutdown and start-up problems. It wouldn't shut down on Sunday because a windows file got corrupted while shutting down, but I'd made a boot&repair USB thumb drive and I used it to repair the windows file.

As a test, I created a steam folder on the new drive and re-installed Rainbow 6 and it's working fine.

This is where I will put Arma 3.

Now the big question. I can have steam move the "Arma 3" folders to the Steam Folder on the new Drive, but what about the "Workshop" folder ? I can try and move Arma 3 and see if it moves the "workshop" Folder or not. If it does, and Arma works I'm all set. If it doesn't, I can easily move it with cut and paste. What should I do ?

Thanks, Saghen, I'm giving it a try right now. By the way, backing up the Arma 3 files will take an hour and a half, so I'll report back tomorrow on how I made out.
Posted By: TheProf

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 09/08/21 07:36 PM

Saghen, I did follow the instructions for the first link you posted. By the time I got halfway through, I was beginning to have a pretty good idea of how the steam file system worked. I realized I'd almost certainly be better off using the steam utility to move Arma 3 from where it was, to the steam folder on the new drive. I'm mighty impressed with steam. It moved everything just fine including the workshop, then it installed the update as well. I ran Arma and everything is exactly as it was before this. I logged into the SIMHq server and went to a mission and started it up and went into the mission no problem.

If you had some time, it probably would be good to meet on the server and run a Vietnam mission just as the final test. Let me know if you have some time this week. smile

Ingot the Western Sahara Cdlc. Looks interesting. I'm not sure how they did all the waves in the sand. From the screenshots I thought it might just be textures, but there are actual ridges.

The open terrain will require a rethink in mission design and strategies, but should be interesting.

I'm in Florida now, computers all set to go, I'll be there for Arma Monday for sure. Can someone post a link to the package I have to get in Steam. I've looked but I'm doubtful it's the right package, thanks. smile

I created one new mission with the new DLC today. I will be interested to see if it's a bloodbath, considering the open terrain. We'll see! :P

Happy New Year!

There was a CUP update a few days ago. If you haven't logged into Steam since last week, you might want to start it before the session on Monday.

Also, I made a new mission set in Vietnam, in a location that I have been eyeing since release of PF and I am excited to try it out.

Yes, that Vietnam mission was really good. I guess because we had 5 players, we were able to complete it even though it was close when 4 of us were wounded and down. Was fun !

Is there going to be a sadistic mission maker challenge? I could make a Vietnam mission with snipers in trees in the jungle. I could add mines and fixed machine gun nests. Muhaha.

Were the outages in the summer due to the weather or was there a lot of construction in your area? Not counting hurricanes the majority of my power outages tend to be due to road construction and powerline maintenance in my area.
Posted By: TheProf

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/23/22 06:48 PM

Although they call it a thunderstorm, this storm was more like a hurricane we had hurricane Force cat one winds for about 10 minutes. Which did an almost unbelievable amount of damage as we're not prepared for hurricanes. Over 800 power poles and main power pylon are down. It's a real mess.
Posted By: saghen

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/23/22 06:57 PM

There were a lot of weather related issues (high winds, heavy rain, falling trees, etc.) It wasn't just one event, there were like 3 major ones in the summer alone.

https://www.theoaklandpress.com/2021/08/12/fast-moving-storm-knocks-out-power-to-250k/ Over 800k were without power. At that point, you know you weren't going to get power for awhile.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/25/22 10:46 PM

Hard to believe but we still don't have power almost five days later. They're not sounding too optimistic about getting it anytime soon either
Posted By: saghen

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/25/22 11:23 PM

Wow. How are you getting by? Are there pockets with power to get food/gas and recharge cell phones, etc?
Posted By: TheProf

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/25/22 11:57 PM

Yeah we're doing pretty good, like you say there are Pockets here and there where there's power we're getting phones charged and finding restaurants to eat. It just gets boring after a while. And it's annoying we can't get any real information on what's affecting us. So really we're doing alright just fed up with it all!
Posted By: TheProf

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/26/22 12:05 AM

The other thing is the gas there were shortages and difficulties getting gas. But luckily we have two cars and I kept both of them full. So I still have plenty of gas.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/28/22 03:38 PM

Hi guys, it's Saturday still no power, and that makes it a week without power. This truly is ridiculous. The only answer I've got from the power company is it's really bad and it will take a couple more days. We live in downtown Ottawa not out on a remote Mountain somewhere. But it doesn't look good. So I hope Osak can make it to the game this week and make it four people. Because it doesn't look promising for me. But I will post on Monday and let you know if I can be there or if I think I can't be. Sorry about that.

biggrin No apology needed. What are you to do when you open the door to a building, half-expecting trouble, and someone is already in there pointing a gun in your direction ? You have but a second to react. At least you patched me up!

Talking of friendly fire, I almost killed everyone by mistakenly activating a timer on a satchel charge. I shall have to examine why that happened, and why, later on, I blew myself up - as pointed out at the time, I need to be more careful with explosives and the mouse wheel menu.

Anyway, enormous fun, and see you all next Monday hopefully.

They are rare but I get ISP outages as well in my area. The last one occurred about 5 weeks ago and my ISP was down for about 8 hours. That was quite an annoyance indeed!

We'll see you next week!

Great fun last night, really worth staying up for. I particularly liked the Vietnam mission, which was very atmospheric. I think we need to rename Prof as Radar O'Reilly... "I can hear voices". Thanks also to Saghen and his excellent Huey piloting skills.

Oh yes, that Vietnam mission really was excellent in every way. The immersion factor was high.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 04/18/23 04:30 PM

Tough missions last night - the first time I've been killed. We definitely needed more grenades to clear that 3-storey building at the end. Thinking about how the context menu sometimes trips me up - when I press the mousewheel, I might not be doing it directly vertically, and so the slight movement then selects an action I don't want - such as placing or touching off a bomb. I think I'll use the Enter key from now on. Great game, see you all next Monday.
Posted By: PanzerMeyer

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 04/18/23 04:33 PM

I've experienced the same issue with the mouse wheel when using the context menus in the game. It seems you have to be very precise with your movement of the mouse wheel while also making sure your soldier doesn't move either. I'm convinced that most ArmA players have blown themselves up at least once or twice because the menu selection changed from "set timer" to "touch off" because their mouse wheel moved too much or too little!

Wow, some massive update out today for ArmA. It's 34 GB according to Steam.
Posted By: saghen

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 04/25/23 11:41 PM

Yes, the Global Mobilization DLC got an update. It's now up to 1.5.
https://arma3.com/news/global-mobilization-creator-dlc-update-15-is-now-live

As with previous updates, the entire DLC needs to be redownloaded everytime there's an update due to copy protections, etc.

Hopefully everybody starts Steam and gets the update before next play session. Will be a 34GB surprise otherwise. Hopefully Meatshield will get a chance update the server.

I'm all updated and ready to go. The download and update took about 5 minutes on my PC.

Another great session on Monday. Apologies for branching off at one point, and going a bit 'rogue' - I was determined to find that armed vehicle and my enthusiasm got the better of me !

The big update is installed here - is there anything that we need to do with the mod preset, or is it unaffected ?

I went on the server yesterday, and it seems my problem with Teamspeak has fixed itself. I think from now on, a precautionary reboot is in order before the session starts. See you all again on Monday.
Posted By: TheProf

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 04/26/23 10:45 PM

Paul. the update won't effect the Mod Preset, in this case all you have to do click on the Arma 3 icon as normal and it will download and install everything on it's own. When it's finished it will load Arma.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 05/02/23 01:54 AM

Bit of a frustrating game tonight, at least for me. Couldn't quite make out what you were saying Saghen, though everyone else was clear as normal. Also, my backpack vanished for some reason - and with it went the satchel charges. It wasn't lying on the ground around me, so a glitch maybe.

Here is the mod I mentioned for possible inclusion: Athena

Steam workshop link: Steam link

It would probably be more useful in larger games, or for when we are moving by helicopter.

I've had computer problems for the past few days. My c: drive died on me. I had to wait for a new drive. and then there were some issues getting windows working properly. I finally got it going and arma 3 setup again at 6PM today. Hence, no new missions from me for launch day. Sorry guys. At least we have a big library of missions.

Those new missions last night were great fun, and presented a real challenge -please keep those difficulty settings. Someone said 'we've walked into a hornet's nest' and they were right - I was hugging the earth a lot, with those bullets whizzing past inches above my head!

Also, good that there were six of us again - the more, the better. Thanks to all for a great session.

Hi Everyone and thanks for the invite Panzer.

Hoping to join you guys on Mondays going forward. I like ARMA but was looking for a small group I could routinely play with vs bouncing on to random servers and playing with new people every time. I got the mods installed and have the proper DLC. I confirmed I was able to log into TS.

I was getting a few errors opening up ARMA but Panzer said those are the norm and I should be good to go. I think I got my basic key binds all setup. I can shoot and scoot just not sure Ill have all by keys mapped on night one but Ill work to get it all sorted for next week. Hope that's okay?

In game I go by Trichome and Im looking forward to getting back into ARMA. Cheers everyone....

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/05/23 10:48 PM

Welcome Trichome.

What kind of errors are you getting? There shouldn't be errors now that NIARMS mods got updated.

Can you screenshot the errors or at least describe what they are? Are they when starting the game, or when joining the server?
Posted By: Trichome

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/06/23 02:14 AM

Had fun playing tonight. I'll get my key binds tuned up and may need to do some weapon refreshers.
Thanks for having me....

I also attached those errors.

After starting the game from the MOD/DLC menu:
1st is when ARMA is starting
2nd is as soon as the main menu is about to populate

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/06/23 10:37 PM

I don't know, man. Those errors look related to Global Mobilization related and how Meatshield makes some modifications to existing mods/DLCs.

I have attached a screenshot of meatshield's edits. Hopefully yours is the same size and date.

I would recommend going onto the server again, and load a mission on Werferlingen or whatever it's called. You should only start one that is a SimHQ mission. The name starts off with SHQ_GM or something like that. If you can load that mission, you're probably fixed and okay.

If that still gives you errors, I would verify your install, making sure there are no corrupted files.

I'm not sure what else to suggest. Maybe Meatshield can suggest something.

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/07/23 09:54 PM

Thanks Saghen.. Ill give that a go. I was able to play while still getting those so if I cant figure it out hopefully it will stay as is and... just... work....
Posted By: Meatsheild

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 06/08/23 03:18 PM

that error is my changes saying they cant find the global mobilization dlc .. which you clearly have! My only suggestion would be to re-save the preset whilst having everything ticked and see if you still get the error, if you do then i'd check GM to make sure it downloaded properly.

If all that fails then its worth diving into the rtp file as that'll list everything loaded and exactly what errors etc smile (Users\<your usename>\AppData\Local\Arma 3)

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 08/08/23 12:28 PM

Fun missions last night even though I agree with meatshield that the 1944 Spearhead mission was quite a bit chaotic! I think I may need to lower my view distance a bit because my frame rate was noticeably slower compared to when we play missions on other maps.
Posted By: Paul_K

Re: ARMA 3 Military Monday session thread - 08/08/23 01:28 PM

Yes, certainly chaotic. I found the various icons confusing - the green triangles with letters on them, for instance. In the end, I just stuck with Meatshield, who seemed to know what he was doing, and fired in the same direction he did. I felt like a raw replacement in his first battle - very authentic. Well worth further playing.

I do apologize for my absence from the Monday night games. This is because I'm helping out in a local charity shop and the time difference means I can't play Arma until 3 a.m. and then open the doors at the shop at 9 am. Which power cable? The main A/C cable that connects from the PC to the wall socket or one of the internal power cables that connects to the hard drive or motherboard?

The main A/C cable that connects from the PC to the wall socket. I had trouble with it not seating in the receptical. The Tech replaced it with a new cable and it works now, very bizarre.

Hi all. I should be able to join you tonight (5th Feb). I've installed and tested the latest preset ( November 23 ), initialized a few missions, and all looks good. I'll still be a bit rusty, so keep me away from the explosives, okay ? See you later.

I was conversing with Meatshield and he claimed the server got fixed for this Monday.

However, the server was off and after I restarted it, I couldn't find the server.

Hopefully Meat sees this message and double checks.

According to what saghen told me, the issue was that CBA was out of date but it has been addressed now.

I think new computer is up and running. Can someone update me on the server IP and port? I want to check before Monday that everything will load.

Thanks,

Gin
