I had this in the FAQ thread but maybe that's not the right place.

I have LOMAC and FC2.

I'm running it on a new Win7 machine with plenty of graphics power and PC capacity. I have a Radeon HD6790 with a gig of vram.

I use a CyborgX USB joystick.

I can not get the weapons to function (the buttons to fire or release weapons). The "flying" functions work fine ... but the weapons buttons do not.

Here's the conundrum ... everything works fine with IL2 Sturmovich. I play Pacific fighers no problem and IL2... no problem. The joystick is communicating with my computer.

Everything works great except with LockOn and Flaming Clifts the weapons don't work.

help

Are you flying RUFOR or US planes? And also, what about the assignments for weapons release within the game itself? (I'm guessing you're using the Saitek software for the Cyborg's profile) Could there be a conflict there between the assignments for the trigger/ pickle buttons? Remember that the Russian birds only use one button for all weapons releases, versus two for the American birds.

Thanks for the reply. I did go into the controls assignments and set (reset) the "trigger" aka Button 1 to fire the cannon. I tried other buttons too to no avail. I only tried the F-15 and A-10. I've not tried a Russian jet yet.

I got LOMAC to run when I first got it a couple of years ago but that computer got a virus and I had to clean it. I just now tried installing LOMAC on this new puter and tried it (patched it with 1.02) and it did not work. I installed FC and still no luck.

Like I mentioned. Everything on the stick works fine with IL-2 and Pacific Fighters.

Thanks again and have a good day

All is well now. Thanks for the help. I reassigned buttons again and that (with some other understanding of how stuff works) solved the problem. I'm still having some issues with Button-1 but I've overcome and adapted. Suffice it to say I have been able to get the "trigger" to fire the cannon ... weapons release ... and its SO FUN now.

The other part of my problem was old age. I forgot how detailed weapons are on LOMAC. I suppose I got a bit lazy with IL-2.

Amazing what a good graphics card will do.
