There are Zorro movies coming out? I used to love Zorro, and strangley enough was just thinking the other day that a reboot of this character is in order. I assume these are Brasilian productions? Nope, one is from sony, the other paramount, also they are making the pale ranger with johnny deep, wich is if you don't know, the "american" zorro. Hmm... Zorro! Isn't Zorro some sort of Mexican ninja?  zorro is the original batman..batman is a clear plagiarism from zorro.

I really hated the Banderas films. Decent enough action and stories, but he doesn't stick his bloody (which then turns out to not be so bloody I guess) sword in anyone A SINGLE TIME, WTF!! Might as well use a cudgel then.

How do you re-imagine Zorro in the future ? I can see several metric tons of cheese coming to the screen... again and Nolan's lawyers being up in arms like a whole Mexican garrison. Just imagine : The Tornado Mk.II, a former top-secret military project for a stealth all terrain motorcycle... Oh, and how could you justify swords in the age of automatic firearms and body armour ? I see lasers replacing the iconic rapier... The horror...
It would be like... re-booting Cyrano as a street poet with Eminem in the lead role, and some urban riot replacing the 30 years war and the siege of Arras... The horror...

You might say it was "really loosely based on" Cyrano, but without the nose I think no one would've even noticed the link.
