it's interesting however it's not exactly accurate.

until recently, banks were pretty fair and stable places to keep your money, and their greed was not out of control.

it's only in the last few decades that this has become the exception to the rule, and only in certain countries.

I guess a country could just nationalize all of the banks. That would stamp out greed an corruption, right?

Not nationalize, but keep in check with penalties for too dangerous or reckless behaviour - just like "the government" can punish other companies that act against the law. Isn't it weird that the people that were largely responsible for the crisis in 2008 are still running the banks today - and never even had to give up their bonuses?

Yup, and it should be considered a crime. Especially those financial institutions that got bailout money from the government and still paid bonuses to their execs. It utterly disgusts me.
