These United States of America
Just thought I'd post these two upcoming Steam games here. Not sure what to make of them as far as how they will actually turn out. But they were interesting and unique enough that I felt like sharing them here. I've not tried really any of the ship simulator games over the years. Not for lack of interest they just never seem to get good reviews and often seem to be plagued with performance issues.

Coast Guard looks a bit low budget but the graphics look nice and I like the presentation. More story/mission based like the old Search and Rescue lite helicopter sims. So it may have kind of a hoaky storyline but I kind of like that. Plus I'm always on the look out for a naval sim. I voted for one of the latest ship simulators to come out but it seems to be out of early access now but has literally half and half on the review scores so I never got it.

Now Soviet Monsters: Ekranoplans looks interesting just because its so dang unique and an uncommon, very niche-type of focus for a vehicle sim/game. Graphically it doesn't look great and I really can't glean much from what the "sim" will actually offer but its interesting nonetheless and perhaps one to keep an eye on.

Land of the Morning Calm
Coot,

Thanks for sharing. I have been watching, with more curiosity than anything, the Ekranoplan game/simulation. I am curious if it will be a combat type simulator, employing SSM's against enemies of the state or just a humanitarian type missions, moving at high rates of speed meters above the water? Also, what's not clear is if you are designing your Ekranoplan or just earning credits to upgrade along the way.

Either, way, looks interesting and on my watch list too.
