Still working on campaign files.. The addition of a fast oiler (max speed 19 knots) to the campaign now allows IJN task forces to travel at 15-19 knots. Notice also substitution of correct AKIZUKI class DD for generic type. And here is a map view of Pearl Harbor attack in progress \:\)

We started looking at various pieces of work that have been done with the radio today. We are going to follow one of the simpler mods, but we are also going to break down some of the larger news items into smaller chunks. Some of the current MP3 items are 24 minutes and longer.

Furthermore, we are going to add notification messages to new items, so that you will receive notice while sailing that a radio broadcast of some historic event is now available. I just listened to a broadcast reporting the DIEPPE raid (August, 1942)

Corregidor is now in the game as a base location and campaign starting point for 1941.. It appears again in 1945.

We began working on edits of specific campaign engagements yesterday. Midway was not well structured, and we have added two more battle groups: Takasu's Aleutian screening force, and Kkauta's strike force against Dutch Harbor on 3 June. This also means adding the strike aircraft to the campaign file. As we go we are also rebuilding some of the battle groups to more historical configurations.

Geez, I think I need to do a development journal \:\)

We've been playing with the patrol objectives while adding some new patrol zones. Decided to add some additional spec ops missions. While adding the Aleutians as a patrol zone in the campaign, particularly around the time of the IJN air strike, we also built a couple of spec ops missions for Alaska. In short, there is intel suggesting that the Japanese have landed or intend to land commandos in a certain area. YOu have to beat it up there to patrol watching for submarine activity or anything unusual, and land a team of American commandos based on an intel update.
