Miguel Molina has released an updated version of the Command community scenario pack. The new release contains six brand-new scenarios: Excellent Loon, 1976 : Canada turns up the pressure on Soviet naval vessels transiting through its home waters. How far can they push the Bear before something breaks out? US Naval Air Power Debate: Baseline, 2016 : What is the ideal mix of fighter assets for USN carrier ops in the near future? Experiment and find out in this triad of hypothetical crisis scenarios. First, a balanced fleet of JSFs and Super Hornets. US Naval Air Power Debate: F-35, 2016 : The debate continues. This time an all-JSF air wing. US Naval Air Power Debate: Super Hornet, 2016 : Concluding the debate with a variation of an all-Super Hornet wing. Operation Journeyman, 1977 : Argentina and the UK clash over a base on Thule, five years ahead of the Falklands story. Crimean War Episodes: Operation Tiger Rifle, 2014 : Based on the evolving crisis in the Ukraine. A combined USN task force with support from Romania-based USAF assets must kick down the Russian A2/AD door (including formidable Yakhont and S-400 batteries) and sink the bulk of Russia’s Black Sea surface force. And with no stealth assets. Can it be done? As always, the community scenario pack is available on the Command downloads page at WarfareSims: http://www.warfaresims.com/?page_id=1876

Nice going fatty. Pretty good exchange rate there - 1 x F-15C for 42 x Su-27P...!
I'm still getting to grips with the Frisian Flag scenario without horrendous Blue losses...

Thanks Tomcat - will try those tips. Did try something a bit similar but I found the strikers have to be close on the heels of the fighter/SEAD sweep - otherwise those pesky MiG-29Ks from Heigoland cause real problems.
I managed to kill the Sa-11, close Heigoland airbase, take-out the dynamic target with Gripens and do *some* damage to the ports - but it was a bit of a Pyrrhic victory...!
Kudos though for designing a very very authentic and realistic CMANO scenario. Really challenging and pushed my (limited) tactical prowess! (Only nitpick I could find was that it would be unlikely that RAF Typhoons would be on the SEAD role - ALARM was retired late last year and was only carried by Tornados. I'd exchange them for Tornado ECRs from Germany/Italy)
Any thoughts on a similar follow-up? Say a Red Flag 2017 tactical exercise with F-35s, Eurofighters, F-22s - to see what difference 5th gen fighters make?

Yep the part about the typhoons makes sense. They only flew air to air in the real excercise, but I needed a SEAD asset and I didn't want to bring in anything that didn't fly in the real excercise. But now that command allows JDAM targeting on static mobiles I will see if it is an option to have F-16s DEAD the 11s. I've been thinking about a Red Flag one, of course I'm not sure what actually goes on in a full up US/UK etc only flag but I can do some guesswork. I will come up with something. Right now I'm just also starting on an Eastern Europe scenario so it might take me some time

Preliminary work has started! It'll be a while before I complete it though. Took a few liberties with the airspace but it's reasonably accurate I think. Am planning to do 2 versions, starting with version Alpha, which features a semi-modern adversary (kind of a Syrian blend, so SA-17, SA-22, SA-10 but also the older 2s and 3s and 6s and 5s, and MiG-29M2 Fulcrum Cs and SU-30MKAs but also older Flanker Bs, Foxbats and Fulcrum As. Then afterwards I want to make version Bravo that features near peer technology: read PAK-FA, J20, SA-21 etc. Maybe some satellite stuff if I can figure out how it works (never used it before). Should be fun But like I said, will take me a bit of time to make.
