could be good...but trailers have fooled me before... but I liked the 1st 2, just each had issues.

A 6 month delay is hardly trivial, I wonder what prompted that? Overly aggressive schedule perhaps.

If the trailer is anything to go by, it's taking no prisoners! Looks quite hardcore, action movie style.

Sad thing is Current PC tech could run the game as it is presented in the trailer,but alas...at least it looks good. hoping to have a massacre in tropical island again . hope this is more like FC2 with open map instead of areas like FC1

Considering FC1 was done by Crytek who has no bearing whatsoever on the guys making FC3, I'd say you're safe.

Looks interesting; but I'm kind of getting bored of the whole "one man army" feel of most FPS's (especially in maps as big as these)...One of the things I didn't like in FC2 was that even tho you were working with certain militias, you were still basically on your own and fighting everyone by yourself. I just want to have a REAL battle where the odds aren't ridiculously stacked against you!
Uh-oh, I'm thinking "outside the rails"; I forgot the majority of gamers don't want options and just want to be led around on a leash mashing buttons (according to the game companies )

Oh well, for what the FC series does, it looks like this one will get it done too. I'll still be keeping an eye on it

A gameplay trailer. I remember this ship level from the first one too, so it looks a lot close to FC1 than 'FC Oh Look, It's a Respawned Outpost 2'

Far Cry 3 has been given an official release date of September 4th in the U.S. and September 7th in the U.K.

That's A ship, but it's not THE ship from FC1, namely an old Japanese carrier from WWII with crashed planes on the island nearby! It was great fun fighting up to the deck on that carrier.

Consoles are really starting to show their age though. Wish they'd do this as a PC title and really unleash what it could look like.

Once you watch the actual gameplay, it looks pretty dated.
