Hi,

Is it possible to get TARGET to work if Foxy is installed on my Computer?

Ive tried to write a simple test file with a couple of key presses but when I press the "Run Configuration" button it just hangs on "running script"

If foxy is causing a conflict is there any way to temporally disable foxy to allow TARGET to work?
I'd like to keep foxy on my machine for older files

I'm using a Cougar

Foxy has nothing to do with Target, it's 2 different software. They can be installed on the same computer without any problem.

Does it show "main returned 0" after you click run? The GUI stays up, but it's running. See image below:

Hi Panther,

Yes that's the exact error.
Do you have a solution?

Dimebug,

Thanks for clearing up the question regarding foxy

Novac: That's not an error. That means you're ready to fly.

TARGET won't minimize (and you can't minimize it). Just go ahead and start your sim.

Oh........Now I feel a bit of a darts-pony

One of the reasons I thought it wasn't working is that when I tried to click on the event tester I got an error message saying event tester not found. (or something along those lines....I'm at work at the mo)
Any ideas on the event tester?

Once again thanks.

Now that Ive had a little time to try programing the stick it is indeed working.
And its a little easier to use than Foxy (For me at least)

Now for the hard work.....Getting a profile I like for DCS A10C sigh

However I still cant get the Event Tester to work. (Because it's a beta perhaps????)

And when I go direct to Event tester exe I get this.

That's odd. It should run, however I've the Warthog and do not have the Cougar connected to this pc.

May I suggest saving any profiles and uninstalling, reboot, reinstall Target, reboot and test again?

Just in case anyone else has the problem with the event tester not working, after contacting "Target Bug Tracker" the problem has been solved.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ANSWER

After doing some tests, we found out that installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) might solve the issue:

Please install this package (or uninstall and then reinstall it, if you already have it on your PC), then reinstall TARGET and see what happens.

In any case, a new and improved version of the Event tester will be available with a future version of TARGET.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008

Thanks for your help.
