Look at the data bank of ballistics damage for BF3, it is so unrealistic. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?k...=true&gid=0Yet, decreasing the health level to a healthy 35% to 45% make a lot of sense to reach a level where two 223 slugs center mass reach 100 points at 40 meters at least. I.e: - G17 and PP2000 are both 9 m/m yet g17= 30 PP200= 25 when the barrel of the later one is longer! The damage point could be at least equal at 1 meter or 3 feet! - 1911 and UPM45 are 0.45 yet 1911= 34 and UPM45= 25...Those damages point are at 1 meter or 3 feet!.... Moreover take a close look at the rest of the spreadsheet, there are some interesting comments.

That's kinda pathetic, I know they need to keep the game balanced and make it fun but still it shouldn't take 5-6+ shots from a 7.62 round to at least incapacitate someone. Last night I was in the .50 cal gun on a tank and saw a sniper quite a distance away; so I started popping of some rounds and found my range (he was stupid enough to stay there and not move very far). I must have hit him 10+ times as the 'X' damage indicator kept flashing with every burst I shot and it STILL didn't kill him...
Oh and thanks for the link! I can't believe DICE wasn't smart enough to make some way to compare all the weapons side-by-side for accuracy, damage, rate of fire, etc. etc.

Lots of very interesting stuff here. Two observations pop out for me. First, it seems that the difference between damage values among weapons within a particular class is pretty marginal. For most it seems like you're looking at a mere hundredth of a second difference in the time to kill someone. So, you can play with whatever weapon seems most comfortable for you rather than worrying about the numbers. Second, suppressors reduce damage much less than what I suspected; with an M416, you only lose 1 point of damage at 20 metres. However, it looks like my beloved MP7 really pales in comparison to the PDW-R. Time to switch!

Ive had that in a few games, direct hits on someone with the main weapon of an APC several times, and they just keep on running around... I have seen it once with the main gun of a tank as well, which cheesed me off that said bugger hit directly with main weapon just turns around and kills the tank with his RPG....
