...after a couple of evenings of online flying. Been flying historical battles to try and get experience points and in game money to level up.

Night battles: Pointless waste of time. A game of chase the red dots (and there was one also complete with rain and fog...a good night to spend in a squadron bar I think.

Aircraft matching to historical battle: Non-existent. Battle off Pelelui (sp) had Zero's vs Peashooters. ???? Attack on Pearl Harbor has float plane Zero's and Japanese amphibious bombers. This may have to do with available aircraft set as its still beta, but for the Pelelui fight they could have had better matches.

Handling of Disconnects: Nothing so frustrating as having a pretty good round and then near end, getting disconnect and no points/lions/eagles...sigh.

Failure of mission earns nothing. I think some experience should be gained even if no monetary reward. Some historic battles are so one sided I don't see how you could win.

Graphics are superb for the world.

The trouble with the historical battles is that, like arcade, everyone can only use the planes they own. So you see P-26's and Claudes when there should be Hellcats and A6M5's.
It would be great if they put the correct airplanes in, and let you fly them in historical, whether you own them or not. You would definately see people in there, wouldn't you?

Because flying a Fury or I-15 or other crappy aircraft in FRB is far from fun. You spend a lot of time waiting on the rounds to be over.

Yes, human players can pick whatever they have available, but the AI aircraft are quite often horribly mismatched.

The whole game is orientated for 'gamers' not flight sim enthusiasts.
Their business model obviously works for them and they seem to be sticking to it.
It's been mentioned that like myself, there are many that would just like to purchase a plane and fly it.. but that doesn't earn them as much money as you slowly buying plane after plane until you get to the one you want in the plane tree.
