I'm playing with the demo and every time I enter the game to play I have to reassign the controls for joystick and keyboard. The profile dont save any where it seeems.
It's the same with the full game or is this a limitation in the demo?

As someone who is not a flight simmmer, but a WWII buff, I have nevertheless been attracted to Wings of Prey by its outstanding presentation and pedigree.

I have the 'full' 1.02 demo and I must add it is infuriating that it does not save the joystick and key re-assignments I make! For people who are not regular flight-simmers, the number of controls is overwhleming enough. Having to re-assign many of them EVERY time one tests the game is likely to put a lot of people off, including perhaps me.

I sincerely hope there will be another demo which saves custom control assignments, both for my benefit and the beneift of other potential customers. I really want this game to succeed on PC.

Hello BM,

Welcome to our community. Consider the demo an appetizer. They want you to buy the main dish, which is a tasty delight.

Can you use HOTAS programming software (Saitek, CH, Logitech software) to create a profile for the game so you don't have to worry about ingame key assignments?

I had the demo and the controls worked fine. Bought the full version and now it doesn't work at all with my Saitek 36X. No clue why the demo worked and the full version doesn't.
I try to assign axis to aileron, thrust, rudder and elevator and they all come up as axis 6 then nothing works.
I have been unable to assign any buttons to anything.

Anyone have a clue?

Thanks

Rick

yes, you can. You still have to assign the axis, of course.

Rick,

have you tried to manually assign the axis (Options-Controls-Device) ?

Have a look here here. You probably have the same problem than the X45.

Taking a look now DocW, thanks. I tried again and it is not saving my controls when I reassign them.
No clue.

Obviously there are problems with the Saitek joysticks if they are not the X52.
I checked on their boards and lots of issues.
I will wait for a patch to see if it fixes anything.

thanks

I have an X52, and it WAS working in the demo, but now it is being screwie.

For some reason, when I set the axis manually, when I set the elevator axis, everything is reversed.

Anybody else seen this?

Andy.

Kindest regards,

AJ

Happens to me too, just choose "invert axis" and you be fine.

Cheers!
